Ape
Used with "Go", "Gone" or "Went". To explode or go completely irate. Example: "When my parents saw my report card, they went ape.

I think this was 1963. It was the very first movie I went to at a movie theater. It brings back so many wonderful memories. Grandma had me wear my nicest dress and patent leather shoes. Didn't have socks so she cut down a pair of my grandpa's and sewed lace on the edge. Grandpa took me and after it was over we stopped for a soda and got a pepperoni roll to take home for grandma. It was a wonderful day and I felt like a princess.

That's the first movie I ever went to see in a theater too. My grandmother took me to see it, in White City in Worcester, MA. It was a really fun experience!



Went to the 1964 World's Fair in NY with our church youth fellowship group.

Bruce Lee-- Enter the Dragon. I think I went to see it at the theater 4 or 5 times. Video not of the movie but the ping pong match is amazing.

These are the 2 that were the most popular here:

But THESE were only available in CA, and weren't around very long...
(they were mainly targeting the 'Black' markets and shoppers - duh!)

I always thought that James Brown was the one who started them, but when I was looking for a pic, I found out that the Co. was actually owned by one of the Oakland Raiders!!
