They were my heros, angels of the skys riding dust off and that would be dong tam.He must have been in or attached to the 9th Div.We had the 281st Intruders/1stAG riding shotgun for us at the top of the country.
forgot to mention,we put our medic in the middle of us,he was the most important member next to the RTO but we all knew how to run the "radio".
I am a Civil War buff so you will probably get all the battles and generals from me. I probably have a different view of Lincoln than most and still feel it was a shame Lee fought for the South... understand why but can just imagine how differently things could have been if he had fought for the North and become President...
Yeah, I think the Civil War stuff would be interesting, I just didn't want to see any opinions about which side was right. We watch a lot of the stuff about the war between the states, and this island, (Deer Isle, Maine) was featured a lot in Ken Burns' documentary.
There was a traveling exhibition about Lincoln, which only visited 50 cities, and one of them was in Castine, ME because of Joshua Chamberlain. We felt very lucky to see it twice. Since Castine is so tiny we got to spend as much time as we wanted, and there were no crowds.
There were two life masks of Lincoln, one done before the war, and one after. That was so neat to see. I also went to a plantation in South Carolina, where the house had been burned by the north, so I'm not taking any sides on this, but it would be interesting to do a contest on the 1860s.
Congratulations, WifeyCo!And so many thanks to Lone_wolf and Vapor's Choice for the fun contests. Also, a shout out to our gameshow host, Reddhott!
