Are you taking any meds or applying anything to the ulcer? I would imagine that would effect flavors in some aspect.

I've found nearly nearly anything which affects your smell or taste seems to impact vaping pretty heavily. If I get a sinus problem or even just a runny nose, my juices always seem to be impacted before other things like food and drinks.

I'd try switching up flavors to something a bit more bold, or trying something you may not typically vape. For me, menthol seems to cut through small periods of stuffiness where other juice flavors seem bland. I was never a menthol analog user, so I never thought I would enjoy minty vapes.

No idea about the ulcer. The vapors tongue sucks and it seems to me from experience and posts I've read it's much more common the first month or two when you start vaping but still happens. The most popular responses to that are hydrate, brush your teeth esp your tongue, and try a dif flavor. Something strong like a menthol or cinnamon to kinda wake your taste buds up. My guess and it's only a guess is the ulcer isn't related.

I've gotten ulcers from stress alone my whole life. The vaping might not be helping, but is it possible you've got stress ulcers from quitting the analogs?

I used to be bad with vapers tounge, but I've just built my first RDA and its gone. Maybe the RDA is just giving off better flavor than my clearos, and maybe its the fact I'm dripping 5-10 drops, than trying a new flavor from a bunch of samples I have. I'm using a Smok 510 RDA on my eGo-C Twist, so it isn't some fancy expensive mod doing it! Wrapping the coil was pretty easy too.

I would say the ulcer is most definitely related. I know it is, I just want someone who has also experienced to maybe elaborate.

I've gotten mouth ulcers once or twice a month for like 6 months. It sucks, I don't know why. It came on pretty sudden. It's never more than one but it still sucks. I'm curious about your Vapors Tongue, how often and how long did it last? I'm thinking that I'll be experiencing this a lot.

I get frequent ulcers. I usually take 4-6 tums a day, I also take prilosec. I rinse my mouth with salt water, mouth wash, peroxide and I brush twice a day. So I really try to treat them but the best medicine is just waiting and not eating anything acidic, sour, spicy or salty.

Well I've been vaping now for about 11 months and only had vapers tongue in the first month of vaping. But I did develop mouth ulcers a few days ago. I put it down to vaping a juice that has a "fizzy" flavour to it, I'm guessing this flavour element might be some type of acetic acid or something similar and that's causing the mouth ulcers. I only started using this juice just before the mouth ulcers started. So I think I'll lay off this juice for a few days and see what happens.

I know my ulcers aren't stress related and their not due to a change in diet. So going off my experience I don't think vapers tongue and the mouth ulcers are related, but that's just my opinion :)

But it does raise a question, have you started vaping a different juice recently ??

lol no dude I'm not saying mouth ulcers and vaping are related. I'm saying I get mouth ulcers pretty regularly, I started vaping recently, this is my first time having a mouth ulcer while vaping and Its also my first time having vapors tongue. I think because of my ulcer I can't taste the vape.

 Looks like I got things mixed up, not unusual for me

Anyway, I can still taste my juices just fine with the mouth ulcers.

The vapers tongue should clear up pretty quickly. For some people it seems to last a day or two, for others it can last a little longer - but it will get better. For me, I had the vapers tongue for about 3 days. Sometimes changing juice flavours can help too. You might find vaping just one juice constantly tends to dull the tastebuds. Plus you can't beat a bit of variety, at home I always have at least 6 different flavours in rotation at once :D

I had a severe case of vapers tongue and it lasted about a week and a half. I didn't get and mouth ulcers with it but I couldn't taste nearly anything. I tried all the remedies and time is the only thing that worked for me. The ulcer may be related to your body reacting to the cessation of all the other crud that were in the analogs. Just keep on vaping and it will pass. Knowing that it isn't forever was a relief for me.
