So yesterday i got my dna 20 from vaporshark, Love it so much its so small and really nice to use. Problem i have with it is, after taking a kayfun off which was sat flush its already chipped some paint away. I'm having to use a 510 to 510 adapter to stop this from happening, its only a day old :(. So i got to ask is there a home remedy that can prevent this, Like just cutting a sticker and cutting a 510 hole out , Would that do it ?

Cheers all
Adam

You got a DNA20 from them yesterday? They should only be shipping out DNA30s at this point.

The DNA20 version had lousy paint. The logo would wear off in a day, and the paint would chip away at the 510 connection easily. This has been for the most part "fixed" on the DNA30 version, with a laser-etched logo and tougher paint. I've had my 30 several weeks and the paint around the 510 shows no signs of wear, and I've switched between Spheroid, K-Lite, Cyclone, etc. quite often.

Not sure there's a fix for the 20 version's crappy paint. You could put a J-wrap on it, but that doesn't cover the top.

I wasn't aware they made any version with the etched logo and metal button that had the DNA20 chip.

All I can say is that the paint seems pretty tough on my DNA30 version. It's not the best finish, but it's not peeling at the connection after several weeks of daily atomizer changes. I saw a video where a guy stripped off all the paint and it's now plain aluminum, which might happen to mine if the paint does end up peeling.

Yeah that's defiantly to be expected with keys. I try to baby mine its just I'm clumsy at times, it's defiantly the kayfun airflow grub screw that's doing it. Drippers go on fine, however it seems like the kayfun has done its damage I use it at work then when I get home I put a dripper on. Everytime I've taken the kayfun off there is no extra paint missing so I think for now the damage has been done. I was wondering how to take the paint off though with a really no scratched finish ? Just leaving it in the grey colour of the aluminum. Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)
