SteveAdams86, It isn't to difficult. I just followed the instructions on evolvapor.com. There is a thread in their forum titled Mac support. If your messing with Linux and familiar with it you will understand it more than I do.
Its gonna take me a while to dial in my mod with escribe as I am up to my ears in schoolwork, and wont enjoy the full benefits of escribe until late October. Although, I still need to figure out how to play with the dna board itself lol. I just built a 0.37ohm 26ga double coil, and I am impressed. Keeping it at default settings for now to establish a baseline. Working beautifully! The VS200 is just about a 1/2" taller than my eGrip and 1/8" thicker.

how hard is it to set up escribe on a mac? i have a feeling im going to be helping a friend set it up on his. Iv alreaday done it in a virtual machine within linux but havent yet been able to test if it fully works as i dont have have the mod to connect to it

Piece of cake, nothing to it. Just remember to install the "Guest Additions", since without that you will not see the DNA (Dimension Engineering) on the USB.

1. Download VB 5, expand, and install.

2. Click the "New" button in VB and select the correct Win OS, e.g., Microsoft/Windows 7, 8, 8.1, choose the Win media install location.

3. D/l the Guest Additions, double-click to install. Be sure the "Settings" menu is properly configured, particularly Shared Folder and USB.

4. With Windows running and DNA connected observe the VB Menu for "Devices" to check USB-> demensionengineering on the USB.

5. "Start" Windows, d/l eScribe, open eScribe, plug the DNA200 in, expect to hear a Windows sound confirmation.

Configure to your hearts content...

My VS came in last Thursday. Nice texture to it, my first DNA and Vaporshark product. Well my first high wattage box device and have got to say it is tiny! Pleasantly surprised! Been using it sparingly in the evenings. Last night I setup escribe on my Mac, and will post again after I dial down a good vape and get more acquainted as the weekend comes and goes.

So a mac version is available?

Could anyone with VS DNA200 and a weighing scale please provide an exact weight of the mod .. I keep hearing it is light, but also not too light, very confusing and just on the edge. The exact weight info could help me decide.. thanks in advance..
Mine weighs 6.0 oz. In comparison my rdna weighs 7.4 oz.

I don't think I could live with that battery life.

i bet it can last a reasonable amount of time if you reduce the preheat to something like 40w. Also bear in mind if you own an android phone use can charge this in all the same places as it has micro usb charging. Also bear in mind with zip charging from a 2 amp source this will take 90 minutes to charge instead of 3-5 hours using 1 amp like every other dna 200. Even if the battery isn't as big as others you should be able to use this more because the charging rate is that much faster. Get your self a 10,000 mah power bank with a 2.1 amp port and then you don't need to worry

Yeah, I get it, but right now there are cheaper, more convenient options. I can already do that with my DNA40 in a smaller package. Think I'll sit on the fence a bit and wait for the next generation.
