Anyone else had a fraudulent charge to their account on the 17th? Specifically with a "Burton" online sports Store? They charged my credit card that I barely use with 350.
Welcome to the "club". Phone companies yes, Burton Snowboards - no.Anyone else had a fraudulent charge to their account on the 17th? Specifically with a "Burton" online sports Store? They charged my credit card that I barely use with 350.
I am really enjoying my VS200. It is a fantastic device. I have received nothing but awesome customer service from them when I had problems with the initial RDNA40 last December.
However, I am totally disgusted with them right now. I purchased the VS200 during the Labor Day sale using a brand new CC that has never been used for any other purchases. I did this because I suspected them after two other CC fraud situations that "seemed" to coincide with $100+ Vaporshark purchases.
Just received my statement for this CC today, and guess what - 2 fraudulent charges. VS is the only place I have EVER used this CC and I only used it for the VS200 purchase.
I have a little perspective in that I am part of a team that writes CC processing software for major B&M retailers and understand what goes on with the security and encryption involved. So I feel (slightly) qualified to say that the fraud problem with VaporShark is front-end....Card info is being captured before it hits the processor. This means an employee or employees at VaporShark are involved with skimming card info and re-selling it.
Totally unacceptable and unfortunately VS has lost me as a customer. 3 card cancellations over the past year is enough.
A bad apple or two is going to sink their ship unless they deal with their internal "issues."
Not been here for a little while but I thought I'd add in too. Yesterday I received a text from my bank saying someone was trying to transfer £757 from my account to a Swiss aws money transfer. I didn't recognise the number from the text but rang my bank and they reckoned they had been trying to contact me. Needless to say this was news to me that my card was trying to be used in such a way. I was on the phone to the fraud department for about 20 mins going through all my transaction which looked odd to them and I have been buying a fair amount online recently. There were several other money transfers which had been denied too. My card is now blocked and getting a new one sent to me. Buying stuff online iv only used my bank card twice recently, one to VaporShark and another to Aliexpress.Well, 30 days after my purchase, the false charges are showing up on my credit card.
I think that @ThunderDan mentioned something about having an issue with his device randomly going into lock mode. Not sure if it was the VS or one of his other DNA200 devices.New VS dna 200 owner checking in. Everything seems to be going fine with device aside from very annoying and random locking issue. Ugh.
I'm having the same issue with the fire button. When you press it on the side, it will flicker and lock the device. Never had this issue with my rDNA but that's been in a sharkskin so pressing the button towards the side is much harder.
New owner here, less than 3 hours, I was wondering if in Escribe, I am able to pre-heat kanthal? I know you can do it with temperature sensing wire, but I need it with kanthal. I have searched and couldn't find it. Thanks in advanced for the inputs![]()
Preheat
When the DNA 200 is used with a temperature sensing atomizer, an additional feature called Preheat is activated. No vapor is produced when the temperature is below the boiling point of the liquid. Preheat applies extra power until the heating coil is up to operating temperature to shorten the delay between pressing the fire button and generating vapor. Because preheat is temperature based, it will not overheat or burn the vapor.
Ok, I should of worded my questions differently. I'm looking more for a boost in wattage. If you know about the SX Mini M-Class, it has a powerful, powerful+, standard and eco mode. When I use it at 40W, powerful mode shoots the wattage up to 45-47W for half a second or so and then back down to my initial wattage. I'm looking for something like that with the DNA200. Makes sense lol?
Yeah, that was the VS200, I did it quite a few times the first week I had it, since then, its only happened a couple of times to me. I think this past week, its happened once. It's just how I press the button (I think).I think that @ThunderDan mentioned something about having an issue with his device randomly going into lock mode. Not sure if it was the VS or one of his other DNA200 devices.
