Yeah, that was the VS200, I did it quite a few times the first week I had it, since then, its only happened a couple of times to me. I think this past week, its happened once. It's just how I press the button (I think).

If it does it, then its a problem, its not you or the way you're pushing it. I just went to the VS store and had mine replaced. It took a while to replicate the issue at the store but when they found it they replaced it no questions. My new one has yet to have the fire/locking issue.

Ok, I should of worded my questions differently. I'm looking more for a boost in wattage. If you know about the SX Mini M-Class, it has a powerful, powerful+, standard and eco mode. When I use it at 40W, powerful mode shoots the wattage up to 45-47W for half a second or so and then back down to my initial wattage. I'm looking for something like that with the DNA200. Makes sense lol?
Being lazy, if there is no boost / preheat option for Kansas, would think you can select custom and download kanthal from steam engine and option should be there. Not really used kanthal recently.

Anybody have luck getting their VS200 to actually charge at, or close to 2A? Most of the time mine is charging well below 1A.

If so, what wall wart / AC adapter are you using? I've tried several to no avail. The one for my wife's tablet I would think should be perfect, 5v=2A on that one, and still no dice.

I only started paying attention to the charging rate this weekend, and noticed its slower than I think it should be.

I got the 2a wall charger from vs, but the only cord I could find that would allow 2a charging was the cord for my ps4. I would try different cords if you have them.
OK, I'll try a different cable next time. I'll try the one from a ps4.
I use a samsung fast (2A) charger for my galaxy S6. It charges super fast
Hmm. That's another charger I've tried in the past (yesterday), and it was charging at like .3A. Might be the cable I guess, although I'm pretty sure I was using the one that came with my wife's S6, its a longish white one.

That's what I've used but I've only seen it chargeine at about 1.2-1.4a
Its either your charger or USB cable. My s5 charger stays at 1.96a until it starts balancing at 95%. I have another s5 charger purchased at the same time that only charges at 1.5a using the same USB cable. Using a different cable on the good charger it charges at 1.6a

You might also go into Escribe > Device Monitor > Diagnostics and set USB Current Limit to 2A if you haven't already.

Not sure if it was here I read someone say wireless charging wouldn't be possible on the lipo in a vs dna200?

I noticed in PBusardos review he said the vaporshark doesn't have wireless charging YET, this intrigued me so I contacted vaporshark who wouldn't give me a straight answer but said to keep checking the site "we are constantly innovating"
I guess there could be hope for wireless charging!

A few months ago someone posted a comment on YouTube saying he emailed VS about wireless charging and they said it "won't be available for this device because of the type of batteries". I wouldn't be surprised though if they released a cerakote rDNA 200 next year with wireless charging and a color changing button

How is the finish on the fire button holding up on some of the VS 200's? I know the rDna40 buttons wore out quickly and looked like crap. I am still on the fence about this mod. I had 4 rDna's and they all glitched and had finish issues. For me it is between this mod and the Wisemec. Part of me is holding out for Innokin's TC device which they really seem to be taking their sweet a** timem:nah:

I've been keeping an eye on my fire button finish. It's only been a little over a month but it's fine. Then again, my rDNA40 button started to show wear after around 4 months of daily use. It does look like crap but I still use it almost every day (DNA200's are my main rotation though). The glitches were a DNA40 quirk. There are none with the DNA200 (I have 3 mods and 2 boards). The finish seems to be holding up just fine (like my rDNA40). Innokin makes great mods but I would look for something with a DNA200 chip.

For anyone worried about purchasing one of these off of Vaporsharks website, Vapor DNA now has it in stock on their site.
http://www.vapordna.com/VaporShark-DNA-200-Box-Mod-p/sha200.htm

Kinda slimy that they put it at $219 list price, "our price" for $199 when the list price is $199. They do offer a free shipping option though.

It's really a shame that VS can't fix their site. I love their devices and I think the DNA200 is one of the best mods with a DNA200 board.
