Anyone know the dimensions of the VS 200 say vs the Hana and the Opus 200? Also, do all of them require 5-button clicks to turn back on after sleep? I saw a video for the Hana which was like that, assumed it was part of the chip design.

Height Depth Width
Protvapor XPV DNA200 3.94 1.57 0.94
hcigar VT200 3.74 2.13 0.98
Opus 200 3.7 2.3 0.9
Hana V200 3.62 1.57 0.94
Vaporshark DNA200 3.5 1.9 0.94
Vaporshark rDNA40 3.25 1.67 0.95

According to info VS posted on facebook, the DNA200 is about 1/4 inch taller and deeper than the rDNA40.

As has already been answered, all genuine Evolv DNAs including the 200 wake instantly and fire from sleep (unless locked).

I know some folks don't like the bottom screen, I didn't think I would. Until I tried one. Its easy to glance at after you've vaped with a slight tilt (unless your using a dripper of course). If you want to see it while firing any mirror / car window / selfie camera will do with less contortions than most other mods.

Agree it's not so handy if you want to sit and watch the screen while charging, but I'm guessing I won't be doing that too often.

VS quality, bottom screen, only a 900mah lipo. I wouldn't take this mod if someone gave it to me.

VS quality: Aside from the coating issues (which has been pretty good with the more recent rubberized coating...I'll admit their earlier paint was bad), VS quality is very good. My VS DNA30 and rDNA40 still get regular use, even with my DNA200s I've built. VS is a reliable US-based manufacturer with generally excellent warranty service. Good luck getting that from a China mod.
Bottom screen: I happen to like it; you can view your status without having to move your hand. It is quite functional. Have you ever actually used one for any extended period of time, not just tried one?
900mAh LiPo: You repeatedly dismiss 900mAh LiPos. Having designed a DNA200 with a 900mAh LiPo, it is quite sufficient for Subtanks, etc. I enjoy mine. Your personal preference does not negate the viability of 900mAh.
You wouldn't take one: I think it's fairly clear from your posts what you don't like. I for one think VS has introduced a great mod in the DNA200 race.

Have you actually used a 900mAh DNA200 (again, not just tried one, but test driven it over an extended period of time)?

Back to the topic. I am looking forward to the integration of the lipo cells. I am thinking this should contribute to more interesting designs. Do these batteries supply consistent Vape all day from charge to depleted like my experience with the 18650's so far? Also I assume these devices have an auto shutoff on the charging to avoid overcharging?

When is it actually out then? I love my rdna 40 v2, not sure if I can justify a dna200 atm

Not much of a fan of my pre-ordered rDNA40 as far as TC goes, but for kanthal its my workhorse mod. I learned my lesson though, Evolv's reputation is grossly over-hyped. Once I know the production chips are free of any issues that can't be solved by an update, I'll pull the trigger or hold off until they are fixed...if there are any.

The next two mods I want are the Vaporshark DNA200 (once I'm satisfied Evolv has the manufacturing right on their end) and probably the Vaporshark Vaporflask SX350j or more likely the squonk DNA40.

You mind if I ask what the hardware problems were with the chip? What was fixed from v1 to v2 and did warranties cover any major issues that may had been?

Yes consistent all day vape, yes the DNA200 chip has a balanced charger on board. There is some uncertainty on how this works with VS Zip charging, but we're expecting this will become clearer when VS ships their devices, expected to be next week.

Good reference info on the chip, pretty much required reading if you haven't already, includes a page on charging ...

Edited to correct public datasheet link.

Honestly man, I can't remember all of it very well, but there were issues with the board, software and some coating causing screen lock ups affecting something like 6% to 11% of their boards, in the first couple of months after initial release there were at least 3 firmware changes and some manufacturing changes to fix that issue. The firmware to fix TC didn't come until many months later.

The general gist was, if the issue was serious, they fixed it. If it was just a nuisance issue, well too bad.

My DNA40s (one small, three large) have been flawless...all of them are relatively early production versions as well.

Hard to believe they stuck the screen on the bottom again, doubt this will be a hot item for VS. Although I have a 30 and 40, I wouldn't buy another VS bottom screen, it makes no sense with the designs soon to be available.
That's their signature design. I like it.

I was actually looking forward to this mod coming out. Then I saw that the screen is on the bottom and I no longer want it. After using the vs rdna30, no big deal. Then I got the rdna40 and dna40, it became a pita. I found myself vaping in the mirror often to see if my build was acting right or to see what my pre-heat wattage is. Never able to trouble shoot while I'm out and about.

What really grinds my gears is the fact that vs went out of their way to place the screen on the bottom. They need a special extra long screen cable to be custom manufactured. Why not on the side VS?

In reality, I'm just bummed that the screen on the bottom killed it for me as this seemed like a great device before pictures were released.
