Kalison, I appreciate you well thought out post and your perspective. On the simpler side of things, it is fairly simple. Remove the statement "all units shipping 8/24". It is still up there. Replace that sentence with, "shipping 2-3 weeks". This simple little change takes care of half the battle and offers a realistic expectation.

Fair enough, and I don't think there is a real excuse for that. Again though, I have to put myself in their shoes. I really don't know why or how the ball is being dropped. Maybe that person is out sick, paternity or maternity leave? Did they quit? I know that it sounds silly, but there are people in this world who have no idea how to do those things, even thought its simple to someone like me.

I have met engineers for Northrup and Boeing. SMART people, incredible, in fact. You know they still call in for computer issues, sometimes can't even explain exactly whats happening? Just because they are everything to aeronautics, doesn't mean they picked up HTML or basic computer component skills along the way. It blew me away to hear and see these men work in their field... didn't know a lick about how to fix a computer.

My friend can turn your 401K around in 5 years and earn you 3-4 times. He can't tell even begin to explain to me issues he is having with his Apple iMac!

As stated earlier, I acknowledged that there is probably no reason not to have someone dedicated to customer relations and media relations. As you say, it is a simple change that would avoid a lot of complaints as of right now. They haven't made the proper concessions to prevent this in the future... although they did admit there was a shipment issue to begin with, and that can put a lot of things out of your hands.

That being said, everyone here has the right to express their displeasure of the current situation, and I can understand where that comes from.

Here is your first look at the final production dna 200. The first batch is finally complete and shipping has begun. We know a lot of you took advantage of our preorder and are eager to get your hands on your new device. However, we can only process so many orders on a daily basis. If you placed your preorder in the first few days, you can expect a tracking number within the next couple weeks. If you placed your order recently, you are realistically looking at 2 to 3 weeks. Our shipping and customer service teams are hard at work to insure that your orders are carefully processed in the order they were received. If you wish to cancel your order due to the processing time, you can do so by contacting support@vaporshark.com. They will promptly cancel and refund your order. We know this device is worth the wait and you'll see for yourself when you hold it in your hands for the first time.

I ended up doing the nano coating my order is still in processing order # 100105XXX placed early the 17th.

On a side note, 4 days not no response on the email nor from the 3 voice messages left on their machines. Also left direct Facebook and twitter messages no response there either..

And I find the wording interesting in the Facebook post.

  • If you placed your preorder in the first few days, you can expect a tracking number within the next couple weeks.
  • If you placed your order recently, you are realistically looking at 2 to 3 weeks.
  • Our shipping and customer service teams are hard at work to insure that your orders are carefully processed in the order they were received.
So if you placed your order during the first weekend you will get in in the next couple weeks?
What's the difference between that and if you placed it recently looking at 2-3 weeks ?

Didn't they just rephrase the same statement?

Someone might be moving up a position, If I don't hear back from someone by this weekend I will be canceling my order.

Someone mentioned Vaporshark not being a big company, but obviously they have taken all our money they could currently afford to higher people to help with the demand. To see the same issue repeat, we will have to be crazy to order anything from them from any future launch. Crazy is repeating the same mistakes over and over and expecting different results
