Then wait and buy some pos throw away dna 200 mod

You don't think that toting around a mod with a peeling finish like the one in that pic would not "maybe" qualify as a POS to "some" people? I don't mean it to be taken personally for anyone who gets one with a bad finish because for $200 no one deserves that so soon.

And if I got one and it did start peeling it would become my throw away beater mod and a most expensive beater it would be.

With the rDNA40 they did not cover finish issues under warranty which was a big concern to some of those affected. I would expect them to take a similar stance on the DNA200. I have 3 rDNAs and have not had any problem with their finishes.
The rubber finish is one of my favorite things about VS so its pretty disappointing seeing it peel that much so soon. I can understand not being able to cover the finish under warranty but that looks more like a bad coating than just damage he could've caused in a few days. If that's how thin they all are then hopefully the shark skins come out soon...

mine wont be leaving house until i get a case for it, it shoud be my 3rd mod and most expencive so i intend on taking great care with it. Il use my rdna 40 or vaporflask when ever it arrives for out of the house. Those wear markings look like its occured by stuffing it into jeans pockets. You could look into using a shirt pocket maybe but i know mine will stay at home for the time being. we should expect them to hold up better but honestly like everything mileage will vary and when they are rushing to get them out to meet to demands of being back logged to .... with orders

See no VS or Evolv products in my future. Hope their mktg functions are paying attention. Too many product problems, too little support. Rotten shame. Really wanted to see US companies take the lead.
Ummmm why evolv? Evolv has very little problems and will take care of you with no questions asked. Evolv even has their own forum where you can ask the owners questions. They actually have the BEST support out of all ecig board makers. They also listen to the public for feature requests that they can fulfill with firmware updates. A lot of dna200 mod problems are the manufacture's fault, not evolv. They even replace chip sets that amateur diy'ers acidentaly destroy, with no questions asked.

I do understand your feeling towards vaporshark though. Their finish can't touch anything without peeling.

Certainly everything is subjective, even quality I reckon. The finish on mine is obviously not good. I personally feel that it is a quality device none the less. Not because of the price but for several other reasons. The feel of it in the hand, the buttons, the backplate and the way it attaches, doesn't move, doesn't rattle. The insides that you can see, from the way the battery sits to the way the wiring job is nice and clean, and the sled is immaculate. Versus buying a cheap mod just because it has a dna 200 in it, opening the box and seeing the 510 connector pop off. Basically you wouldn't say your Bmw wasn't a quality car simply because your paint job tarnished, you'd say you got a crappy paint job.

yeah but would you want your expensive BMW to have a ....ty paintjob and just keep on driving in that condition? No you would go to the dealership and demand they fix their ....ty horrible job.

Simple as that. no matter WHAT type of finish any company uses they need to fix when there is obviously a defect on the finish. It shouldn't be that horrible after a week. this is supposed to be a "premium" mod made by an american company.

Not a mod that looks like a 20 dollar chinese mod after a week.

mine started peeling today. pocket was a little tight on my jeans so im guessing that did it.
That is why VS will get none of my money. I had 4 crappy RDNA with finish issues and glitches. If I get another Evolv Product it will be the HCigar VT200 or the Vape Cige or Lava Box

oh no come on. This is the first ever mod I did not buy at any chinese store (ok the second after the CM whiteout preorder) but in the US with horrendous shipping costs and nano coating. Please don't be crap...
You do know the Vaporsharks are made in China, correct?

no nano coating
Well there goes that theory, guess the finish really is junk. Its sad how their website makes it sound like a new and improved coating process when if anything its even thinner than the rDNA. Hate to say it but I'm seriously considering cancelling my preorder, just wish there was another dna200 with zip charging.

Has anyone called VS with the pics to see if they will do anything about it?

Besides the coating issues, anyone experience any issues with the mod performance itself? I'm planning to cover mine with a J wrap so not too worried about the peel.

None so far, but one guy in this thread bricked his somehow, haven't heard anything else negative besides the coating.

Are the bad finish VS's only from batch 8/24? There is also batch 8/28. Just curious if it was a bad first batch. Did anyone contact VS?

Mine was from 8/28 so definitely not in the clear, and no I haven't contacted them as of yet, as I hate that kind of run around crap. And it is my beater; but for the sake of everyone's nerves here I will reach out and let you guys know what kind of reply I get. Sending them email with pics in the next few minutes.

Edit: Email sent
