I just sat on hold with these people for 11 minutes, got to first in line then it started ringing. It went to a voicemail box that was full then I got disconnected..

Unfortunately another little service they need to fix is their phone system. They are on West Coast time and I am assuming closed. Would be good if their Voicemail would state that.

That is odd considering they are based out of Florida. Wonder why they operate on west coast time.

My VS comes in tomorrow, and I have been stoked. The only concern I have now is the peeling issue. I actually bought mine from Ebay, so no returns.....but I wonder if VS will still honor their warranty since I have the original purchase receipt from the person I bought it from. Anyways, any news on this peeling issue with VS?

I'm pretty sure they're on eastern time, I tried calling on Friday at 4 PST and they were already closed. Answered at around 10am yesterday

Yhea guys towards the begging of this thread, I mentioned I spent a week calling every day and email. Never got anyone on the phone but finally a week later got an email back and was able to go back and for the a person named victor.

He said there, support team is 2 people and flooded because of the 5k+ pre-orders.
Anyhow, don't want to regurgitate an old post.

The simple fact is VaporShark does not care about their customers, they're only in it to make a fast buck. Which is a shame they will not continue to make their so called fast buck without caring about their customers.

I remember your post, that's part of the reason I was so surprised when someone actually picked up the phone. Especially when their system had just hung up on me after being on hold for 10 minutes.

I really don't understand how they are holding on. I guess the vaping business market is different then any other... I have worked for many companies, mostly startup's the past 8 years, but if anyone of them did a fraction of what VS has done and with no plan to fix and save face, there would be no doors to open the following month.

Just called VS, for my first time, and talked to someone after 4 min of holding, the girl's name was Alex. I told her I received my VS dna 200 tomorrow and have a concern with a majority of people's device peeling, when the device is brand new. She said that they are not aware of this issue at all, and that it shouldn't be happening. She said that there was a problem on the rdna devices but the dna200 device won't peel and shouldn't peel at all. I told her that it seems like its happening a lot to people, and she can go look on the forums herself. I told her this forum page and she said she will have to check it out. By the way, the peeling is not covered under warranty, as mentioned above. Also, the snake skin should be out "soon" she said.

I am going to be ...... if mine starts peeling. For a $200 "quality" device, this shouldn't happen at all. I have never had 1 single problem with any of my china mods , ever. I have had about 8 of them. This, besides the snow wolf asmodus edition, will be my first ever American mod, and it doesn't sit with me so good at the moment. Time will tell.

Um, the snow wolf, and vaporshark dna200 are both Chinese devices.

Considering the finish peeling was pretty much the only complaint about their other devices you would think they would've spent all this time making sure the new one was more durable. As a business owner I would've delayed the release and doubled up that coating before letting such a simple issue ruin the reputation they were so lucky to receive.

Apparently the coating is even thinner than the beta units according to what one reviewer was told (mentions it at around 8 min, cover your eyes at 9:10). Not sure if it was a rep or vendor because they also told him it was plastic but the logo is white so its definitely a different case. Probably why they weren't even aware of the peeling until now.

Yup, totally hear that.

I made suggestions to them about how flip bad press in the past..
Told them they need to give people something good to talk about not all the negative that is going around.

Something as simple as giving pre-order upgraded shipping or give away sharkskins to all pre-orders for free when available.
Something to show you care and acknowledge the fumble.

And their response is we can't do that, it would put us out of business.

My thinking is they claim to be a small company with only 2 support staff and that they have 5000 units pre-ordered the first weekend at $200 a pop.

They could afford to hire some temp support for one (which later on the did) and figure out a way or something they can do if they really wanted.

At the very least they should send a free black shark skin to everyone who ordered before they come out since the rDNA comes with a black one. If they wanted to do the right thing they would pause production, fix their current coating process and offer to recoat any that already shipped. That zip charging board is the only thing keeping them in the competition right now

Some people think they are buying a American Made mod when in fact it's made in china just ships from Florida. If people purchased a Chinese mod made in china and specifically shipped from China people would be up in arms about the crappy paint job and we would be hanging the company from the highest tree and taking a switch to them and would be demanding the money back, but we as USA citizens let companies from the USA get away with this crap. If we keep letting USA based companies get away with this then it's no ones fault but our own. We are paying a good price for a device and we should get a good device in return. If you purchased a car and the paint came off from driving a few days what would happen? You would be at that dealership demanding something be done, so why not hold these companies accountable for a change instead of saying throw a silicone skin on it or wrap it? I for one will not purchase one of these as 2 weeks after I got my RDNA my paint came off and they told me they knew they had issues but did nothing to help me, that is a piss poor company in my opinion. So for all those that continue to support this company and say buy a skin you are wrong. It's my HARD earned money buying a device and I demand better quality like we do with any other country, why is demanding better quality from a USA company be any different?

I agree with you, but I have wanted a VS product for years now, and finally pulled the trigger. I love the screen on the bottom, as well as zip charging. I love the way it looks and the size of it. Yes I will be upset if it peels...who wouldn't be? But I still will enjoy the dna 200 chip features and still have a great vape. This is no solution to the problem, but simply tryin to make the best of it.

Just to note, my device comes in the mail tomorrow, and I just found out about all these peeling issues today, so I was not aware before the purchase.

DNA30 = ? No paint issues
rDNA40 = 10 months old with rubberized finish. No peeling.
DNA40 = 4 months old with rubberized finish. No peeling.

With thousands of devices sold, I don't think it's as big an issue as most think it is. Yes, it sucks if yours is peeling but "all these issues"??? I'm not saying it doesn't exist but it might not be as widespread as it sounds.

As far as customer service, I've had nothing but good experiences with them. All these complains are when VS releases a new product and they get slammed. Calling and wasting VS's time on a product you don't have in hand yet with a problem you don't have is just silly, especially when they're already busy. It's easy to manage a company behind a keyboard and compare a small vaping company to a company with a billion in cash reserves (Apple) or paint peeling issues with something (a car) that cost many thousands times more. Stop being drama queens.
