I was on the first round for VS 200 after a week of nothing but great vamping, it died on me. Powered on when connected to receive/power died soon as power removed, bad lipo or connector maybe. I returned it planning on waiting a few months and watching reviews. Can't do without after having a taste of it. Still a little shy about ordering as I think it was chain vaping and AZ heat that might have killed it, my mods get very hot and usually switch back and forth between two.

I don't really see any options that have similar feel and size to VS. I am considering Militia mods mini, but leaning to VS. I have had very positive experience with their customer service and the size and feel is like no other I have found.

Not saying anything really I guess, just miss this device. From their CS on Friday they mentioned orders might be shipping sooner than expected.

My VS DNA 200 died last night. Was vaping on it, sitting at my pc, when it wouldn't fire. The screen turned off, and wouldn't turn back on. I tried plugging it in and nothing, it won't light up red, and it won't connect to escribe. I was ......, but have heard so many things about VS good customer service. This is my first device from them so I was worried.

Anyways, just got off the phone with them and told them what happened, I am shipping mine back to them today and they are going to take a look at it, and if its a faulty board, I am getting a brand new one. Can't complain about this, although it is expected that it should be fixed. Just wanted to give a positive note on my current situation so far. No hesitation from them and they were glad to help me out.

Would be nice if Evolv would publish why so many different DNA 200 devices are just up and dying. From all the failed reports they've surely received enough of them back to be able to identify what's wrong at this point and make a statement as to why and any preventative steps that could be taken if any to prevent further failures.

Edit: Should add while it's great VS is taking care of this for you, once your out of their warranty 3 month I believe it's pretty much in your hands to get the soldering station out and fix it yourself. I'm sure most the China companies releasing a DNA 200 equipped device are 1 month or so.

Ya. Vaporshark told me that they have seen my issue happen a couple of times but some of them were because ejuice had gotten in there and ruined the board. I haven't had any ejuice get into mine at all, so I'm wondering what they will tell me happened. Also I thought the chip itself had a coating on it for waterproof.

They lied to you, ejuice doesn't ruin boards.

That's what I thought. I know none has leaked into mine so If they tell me it had, then I know they are making it up. I wonder how long it's going to take to get my device back. At least my shipping label is priority 1 day mail. That makes me happy. Hopefully they will just give me a new device instead of trying to fix mine.

Yes they apply conformal coating. But I was saying in general there's been lots of failures reported with devices just up and dying a few days / weeks after use with most all DNA 200 equipped mods, Hana, Opus, VS (2 reported just on this page) etc..

Straight from John at "Evolv" on the Early Adopters forum.
Yes the DNA 200 is conformal coated. Since that video we have a faster selective coating machine. It is silicone coated and we shoot for a dry thickness of 2 mils

What I just got back from vaporshark, I asked about the other people's board being ruined by ejuice:

Hello William,
Liquid can find its way down through the 510 connection, as it is spring loaded and due to the nature of it , it cannot be sealed. The board does not have liquid damage protection as it comes, we do offer a hydrophobic nano coating service, however this will make the internal components liquid resistant not liquid proof.

Thank you.

You should reply back to them with this video (just one I know of off hand, not the best example):

And ask them again how e-liquid is damaging anything.
