Just got off the phone with vaporshark I'm really suprised with how good the CS is there. They said the 510 problem has been found in a few devices so that I should only be without my device for only 3 or 4 days. I'm pretty happy that it will be resolved quickly.

I had to send my device back last week. It took exactly 7 days, from the day I shipped it, to getting it back yesterday. I would assume yours would be sooner, like they said, because I had a weekend in the middle of those 7 days, so thats an extra day of the mail not running. They sent me a 1 day priority shipping label, that lovely usps took 2 days to deliver. Then they shipped it back UPS innovation.

From only using my VS about 5 hours yesterday, since I got it back. I have noticed a tad bit of increase in battery life by changing the screen brightness from 100%-50% during firing. I figured, I can't look at the screen while I am taking a hit so I might as well dim the screen. I will probably dim it to about 25% when I get home, of course it doesn't drastically change the battery life, but I would assume it would help out a decent amount, from a full battery until it needs to be charged, not having the screen light up 100% everytime you fire it.

I think I'll give that a try as well. Like you say, I can't very well look at the screen while I'm firing it anyway (unless I'm in front of a mirror or something).

Exactly, any little bit adds up over time. I don't know exactly how much battery life it will actually save, but it has to do something. I will prob drop it down even more, 25%, when I get home, and change my idle brightness from 63% down to 50%. 50% is actually still pretty bright, considering the VS has a very clear screen. And if you're ever in the sun, and need to see the screen, if you fire the mod for just a click, then let go, the device lights up to 100% brightness for 3 seconds until it goes into idle mode. And of course, you can change that 3 seconds to longer.

I know when I had my sx mini m class, and updated the firmware, they added a new eco mode to the device. Which basically made the screen dim, and turn off, with in about 3 seconds after firing it. Before the update the screen would dim, and turn off, like 20-30 seconds after firing. Once this updated allowed eco mode, I went from having to charge my device after 2200-2250J used (out of a 2600VTC5), to 2600J used. So it does help.

Is anyone elses escribe software showing that the battery we have is a 720mah battery at 10.22 watt hours? I called vaporshark about this and they said that it should be 720, not 900mah. What is the reasoning behind this?
Where are you seeing that? Are you looking at the calculator? I've seen 720 there I think, but that is just an example default from evolv. The calculator tool is just for you to plug in the mah of your battery, and it gives you the watt hours to plug into escribe.

In the mod tab, ah okay I thought it was there for you to change the battery specs if anyone ever changed to a different battery.

Still though, why would it say 720 instead of 900?

So it looks like I'm on the twice a day charge schedule. It's not so bad with the 2A charging, but I think the plug I'm using isn't behaving so well. It will rise to 2a, and then drop down to 0 and rise again and drop down. A 1a charger works fine at 1a. 2A charging takes about 1:30.

One feature I wish it had was to change the scroll speed when changing the temp. It's way to fast for me. I have to go in 5F increments, and keep stopping when it speeds up.

You're talking about the Watt-Hour calculator? The 720 is just a default number. There is no way to input the battery's mah rating anywhere else. It only uses Wh (10.22 in the case of the VS DNA200).

I upgraded my TW700 to Win10 and it works great. Dirt cheap for what it does. I picked up a 10pk of stylus (stylii?) from Amazon and it makes using the TW700 much easier and more precise.

Makes sense, thanks. I thought it was adjusting the mod.

Its here!!! Took 4 days to get to CA, 2 days ahead of the UPS estimated delivery date. Its actually a little smaller and heavier than I expected, feels so much better than my old sig 150.

Spent the first 5 minutes trying to figure out how to turn the thing off since this is my first DNA but I guess the screen just stays on while charging. Took about 20 minutes to charge from 75% to full. The cable it came with is only 2 feet long though and all of my old micro USB's are bent so I'm gonna have to buy a longer one to use it while charging.

Had to screw my Crown on pretty tight to prevent it from wobbling, kinda worried the top will eventually start peeling if I switch tanks too often. The finish looks great but its sort of a fingerprint magnet. Not sure if its the nano coating but I just washed my hands with rubbing alcohol and it still leaves a mark wherever I touch it. Not a big deal, just don't want to wear the rubber down by cleaning it too often. Can't wait to start messing around with escribe.

Congrats on the new mod!

You can turn off the display while charging in Escribe. Be sure to buy a quality USB cable. Some aren't capable of delivering a full 2a for charging.

Mine doesn't have nano coating and it's a fingerprint magnet too. Waiting for them to release a sharkskin.

I think I'm going to go pick up a TW700 tomorrow, tossed the idea out to the wife tonight, and she didn't seem to oppose to me getting a tablet again.

"Moneymike" Check some other tanks and rdas on your vaporshark. I had mine and had the crown and it fit fine then I tried a subtank and only 1 of 4 of them fit flush. Only 3 of my 8 rdas fit flush this was a problem because when they didn't sit right they wobbled bad. I called vaporshark and they were great and they will fix the 510 no problem. They told me that some people have been having these issues. Just figured I'd give you a heads up.

Thanks :) Thats the first thing I was planning on changing along with the battery display to show as % instead. Might just put it in stealth mode after finding the settings I like for the .25 crown coils, priming a new one now to try temp control for the first time.

I tested 4 other tanks and they all fit perfectly flush so I think my 510 is ok. With the crown it just seems like you have to go an extra half a turn after its already touching the top. The connection is slightly longer though so I'm sure that's why, at least it doesn't wobble when screwed all the way in. I'm just paranoid about it peeling because the finish is so nice
