my VS 200 just died. died mid puff. heard a pop inside of the device and now it won't even connect to escribe. hard reboot, firmware force, nothings working. completely dead. i had this device a total of 5 days. 50 watts on a dual Ti coil, so nothing power hungry. this will be my first dna 200 to die. THIS SUCKS! i hope VS help me out. thank god i have back ups.

Sorry to hear it happened. Reading your last two posts you definitely went from a high to a low. Hope VS can help you out. You said you bought it second hand from a dude named Brian so I hope it works out for you.

Maybe Evolv can help you if VS balks.

lol,i know right? i'm thinking fuse, but even with a blown fuse it should still connect to escribe. funny thing is it died mid puff. it wouldn't fire, screen blacked out, but blue led's lit up every time i pressed the fire button. i then booted up escribe, escribe recognized the VS and the mod's screen said "error press up to continue". i pressed up then i hit the fire button and heard a soft pop. after that, escribe lost connection and the device does nothing, not even the blue led's anymore. i'm gonna call VS tomorrow and see how good their customer service is.

edit.....no tpat i bought it new from VS at a discount for something i helped them out with. has full warranty.

Sorry, misunderstood. I knew VS had a lot of problems with the charging circuits in the early ones blowing out somehow and killing the boards while vaping. Really glad to hear I got it wrong (but I figured at that price it wasn't coming from VS) and that you have a Full Warranty on it so they can take care of you!

how many charge cycle is this lipo pack rated for?
i can tell you one of my dna 200's with the same battery (fullymax 900 mah) has over 150-175 charge cycles on it. still a healthy pack too. no swelling, holds a solid charge and battery sag is just about the same as when it was new.

You should be able to go 300-500 cycles before capacity drops off. At 1000 cycles, you lose 15%.
These are full cycles of fully discharged to full charge. If you tend to charge the battery at 30-50%, you will have almost double the cycle life.

So assuming if you charge 1 to twice a day the lipo battery should last about a year and a half to 2 years before it drops 15%...not bad at all. Since by then you'll probably have accumulated a plethora of other mods.

i just sent my VS 200 back to Miama FL with a printed out 1 day priority label, courtesy of VS. i dunno if they'll just replace the board or give me a whole new device. i'll have to wait and see. they did say they would email me with a cause to the failure when their "techs" get their hands on it. so far so good. guy was pleasant to talk to on the phone.

Anyone running a 25mm tank on the VS? Probably have overhang?
Nope but it will hang on 3 sides.

Don't expect an email or tracking but I'll be surprised if it takes more than 7 calendar days to get it back from the day you ship it out.

So it was delivered today. Went thru about a tank and 1/2 of the crown with 0.5ohms vaping at 40 watts. Battery is at 50%. Going home.

This will be my out and about mod. The finish is awesome. Form factor is awesome. Super light weight. One of the purchases that I know I will not regret...

Left to right, 30 ml bottle, 10 ml needle point bottle, VS DNA200, Wotofo Freakshow Tiny, Snow Wolf Mini, Reuleaux RX200

i recommend getting a silicone sleeve for the shark. the finish has been improved over previous versions but still a good idea to protect your investment.

Wraps didn't work out. Looks cheesy.

I also noticed that my buttons rattle when I shake the mod. Pretty annoying, is this common?

For the good news, this mod charges really really fast. 20-100% in less than an hour I think? Awesome daily device imo. Just bring the cable with you

[edit] also does anyone happen to have both the VS and Griffin 25mm, post a picture with that setup? wana see how bad of an overhang we're talking about.
