I just hit 34 days anolog free! At the same time I quit smoking, I quit drinking soda and started drinking more water. I started working out because in the past I always gained weight in my attempts to quit. I've lost 7 pound in a month and actually ran a mile today. These are huge mile stones for me! Thanks to the forum and the support I've gotten here just from my constant lurking. Anyone else experiencing a new zest for life because of vaping? I sure have. I may even think my husband loves me a little more for finally kicking that nasty habit!

It sounds like you are doing everything right and are very excited, that's awesome. I have started cycling again and it feels wonderful not being out of breath and having to stop to rest like I used to. If you ever have bad days or feel like you might fall off the wagon just remember how you feel now and keep moving forward!

Almost 4 days off of cigarettes now and my sense of smell is coming back. Also I noticed this morning something amazing. My eye sight has begun to get better. Don't get me wrong, I am as blind as a bat without my glasses and I still am, this isn't some miracle. However, it is a sign of more oxygen and less carbon monoxide and other chemicals in my body. So my body has started to work better.

Very glad to hear that, congrats Meganatrix!
I had been a smoker for over a decade, quit three times (each lasted around 1 year), after 3 failed attempts at quitting, finally decided to just go for the nicotine&oral fixation substitute (vaporizers) instead.

Whenever I quit smoking, my energy level and ability/willingness to exercise rises dramatically (not to mention the joie-de-vivre-boost you're referring to), and of course, it has happened when I switched to vaporizers too.
I prevent probable weight-gains by beginning a regimen of walks several days a week once I quit (around 45 mins a day, duration can be increased gradually), I walk rapidly but at a comfortable pace at which I don't ever run short of breath. Since it never feels like intense-exercising, it's very sustainable. By doing this alone, I managed to actually lose a couple of pounds each time I quit.

Have the same problem with sodas, substituting them partially with a way healthier alternative, white tea& mate (and stevia) helped me a lot, but it's still a vice I have to live/reckon with.

Hope we never have to switch back to manuals, and hang on to our zest.
Best!

So psyched to hear your story... been right where you are at. So yes I for one do have a new zest for life.. Just wish I had been able to start E-cigs about 20 years sooner.... lol. Anyway here is my first post not so long ago: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/365533-e-cigs-changed-my-life.html
