I'm sure I'm not the only one who rolls up a coil, throws it on my provari, and gets ...... when it gives me the e1 or e2 warning. No one likes their coils to be above 1.2 ohms, so why can't we get some good mods to fix this problem? Check out this video and tell me if anyone has any suggestions

Well there are regulated mods that can go lower, but the great thing about regulated mods is you don't have to. I like my coils way above 2 ohms, up to 3 ohms.

Why not a DNA20 mod? I know it VW, but it allows you to see real time resistance, voltage, and battery life. It also allows you to regulate sub-ohm coils (the lowest I believe is 0.6 or 0.7), but there is one problem... There is not step-down transformer, only a buck boost, so you will never get below the battery's voltage. Kind of annoying unless you vape on a genesis or a device that wicks well...

It does step down. It's limited, but it can. There is nothing annoying about it at all.

I do.

I like 3.0 ohms.

Ah Grasshopper, you cast a wide net and have much to learn.

There's an ol' invention called a VOM/DVM. They'll sate at least one of your quest.

That was answered in a previous reply to your post.

So is a self centered vaping rant!

How is this a self centered rant? If you want to be negative towards me, then please don't reply to my threads. I'm on ECF to expand my knowledge of electronic cigarettes, so don't act like I should know everything in the vape world.

and you came to this consensus how exactly?

I run all my vv's with 32 or 30 gauge in the 1.5 to 1.8 ohm range. my atty's run just fine.

my mechs all run around .8 .9 and I use the provari to check them as well.

IMO if you cant get good results from a SR coil on a VV mod you dont know what your doing.

I know how to role a coil just fine. I can make them the exact resistance that I want, I just prefer a lower resistance.

People are so rude on here lol

No offense, but you started off this post being rude. I am not trying to create a fight here... Each vaper is different. I personally, stay the hell away from sub-ohm coils, and I like 5 wraps of 32 GA kanthal on 500 SS Mesh on my Genesis. I own both a provari and a DNA20 mod, and I love them both. I don't have a need for a Mech, and that is that.

However, most people on here are just trying to help you out... We are not telling you that this is right, or that is wrong. You asked for advice, and you found a bunch of users willing to chip in their expertise. Again, we are not being rude.

ok just trying to understand, why do you believe you need lower resistance on a regulated mod?

I generally use 18350 mods, so a lot of it is to save battery life. Instead of running a 3ohm coil at a high voltage, I'd prefer to run a lower resistance around 3.5. And I've found that my coils will last a day or two longer with lower resistances.
