Variable Voltage MyGo Kit
Variable Voltage MyGo Electronic Cigarette

Hello all. This is my first review so be patient with me. Also, as a disclaimer this is my first APV.
A little history: I've been vaping about a month. I started out with a "mini" kit from v2cigs. It was nice but the batteries didn't last long at all, 2 hours max and they were just goofy looking with anything bigger than a cartomizer. Then I got an eGo Twist 1000mah and fell in love, what a great device! My only issue was the battery life, it still didn't last long enough for me, I frequently go out after work and I don't have time to charge something for 2-3 hours. So when my last paycheck came I started looking around and found the deal that they are offering at Aquavaporcigs for a Variable Voltage MyGo. I've heard there have been quality issues, one member said that his had severe issues with the threads on the connector when it arrived. I was a little wary so looked around at other similar products. However, most of them were selling just the device itself for the price of the MyGo Kit. Since the MyGo came with all of the accessories that I will need for a more expensive mod (batteries, charger, etc...) I picked up one of these and a second Twist just in case.
Price: $49.95 (Though I ended up spending $64.80 after some upgrades)
What it comes with:
One Lavatube Yung June 1.5T (Thanks Porksmuggler) In Chrome, Black, or Silver, no price difference.
2 - Generic blue 18650 2200mah batteries (The website says 1600mah, but I got 2200mah for some reason. No complaints here!)
1 - Single 18650 Battery charger. (I upgraded to the Trustfire Dual TR-001 Charger for an additional $8.95)
1 - Leather Carrying case
1 - 10ML E-Liquid bottle of your choice (I picked Grape and it's pretty awesome so far)
And your choice of :
2-510 Atomizers and 5 Blank Cartridges - [Default]
1 - 3.5ml ViVi Nova Vision Tank with 3 Atomizer Heads
5-510 XL 2.5 Ohm Black Blank Cartomizers
3 -510 XXXL Clear Dual Coil Cartomizers
2-510 DCT 3.5ml Tank Tube with Dual Coil Cartomizers
2-510 3.5ml Vision Clearomizers
(I went with the ViVi Nova tank, They included 2 2.8ohm heads and one 2.4ohm)
I also added:
An eGo cone attachment for $1.95
A 3.5ml 510 Vision Clearomizer for $3.95
2 EFest 18650 High Drain IMR 2000 mAh Batteries for $14.90
Review: I ordered this on Thursday, 10/18 and it was delivered Monday 10/22. Ihave to say I am very impressed so far. It seems to have a very solid build and some good weight to it with the battery in it. It's got the standard .1 step variable voltage up/down buttons.
When you press the power button 5 times it turns the device on and off. When you press the power button once, it shows you the resistance of the atomizer you are using. Sometimes when you first connect an atomizer it will be off by .1 or so, but after a minute it settles down. My Stardust reads at 2.3ohms, my 2.4ohm ViVi Nova reads at 2.7, and my 1.8 ViVi Nova reads at 1.9. After showing the resistance of the atomizer, it shows you what setting the voltage is at. My favorite thing about this device is the battery life meter on the right of the screen, it's just like the ones you see on cell phones and is a big part of why I went with this device. According to the directions they sent me, the voltage can be locked by holding down both +/- buttons for 5 seconds. I have not been able to get them to do this. However it really doesn't bother me, the buttons don't get pressed in my pocket, and it's very easy to change it back if they did.
The vapor is great, it's awesome to be able to see what the resistance is and adjust accordingly until you find the best mix. The batteries are super easy to change out, just unscrew the cap on the bottom, pop the old one out and the new one in. The bottom cap is very tight so there are no worries about it accidentally coming off in my pocket or something. It also has a nice big hole in the bottom in case the battery needs to vent. The battery life is not what I thought it would be. Last night I used an entire 2200mah battery in about 4 hours of not very intense vaping whereas a 1000mah twist will last me 10-12 hours at about the same usage level. This is ok with me though, because I have extra batteries and it's easier to carry around 3 extra 18650's than it is to carry around an extra twist or two.
I got the solid black version and I love the way the matte finish feels in my hand. One thing I don't like is that my tanks don't screw down flush with the top of the device, so I'm a little worried about the connection, but so far it's not wobbling or anything, I'll just make sure to take good care of it and disassemble it when I put it in my pocket.
The carrying case is a nice feature. It has 3 small pockets and two bands for batteries. My eGo Twists fit into it fine too so I can use it for them too. The only thing is that the two sides are upside down, so on one side the two pockets open up in one direction and on the other the pocket faces the other direction. This is not that big of a deal though, I just open it up sideways and everything stays where it should be.
I give this device a 7/10 rating. I feel like the kit is a GREAT deal for the price. If I were to get a ProVari with the same accessories it would have been in the $250 range, but I spent less than $70. If I were to buy all the accessories seperately, it would have been in the $40-$50 range. Also, I now have all the parts I need and can save up to get a better unit in the future. I would recommend this kit to anyone who is interested in getting an APV but is on a budget. I will update this thread with any new information as I continue to use this unit.
