Mine does the same. About 4 mo old.

I know that some LavaTubes will reduce Voltage if the amp limit is exceeded. But at ohms (2.6~2.8ohms) that I use and the voltage I use (3.7~4.3v) I have never seen it in person.

But I have Never seen my Provari reduce Output Voltage from Displayed Voltage. It either Outputs or Errors.

I tried to vaped at a Voltage just below what would caused it to error on my Provari once. I tried High Voltages with a LR Atty once but at that wattage, the hit was so Harsh and Burnt, it was Unvapable. If I want Burnt Marshmallows, I've get a Lighter and a Coat Hanger.

And my Provari is a Version 1 which has a Lower amp limit than the Newer Version 2's.

Okay, so maybe I don't need a twist but I still want to get the ego 1000mah. What's the difference between the ego "c" and ego "t". Also I'm looking at the smoketech dual coil 1.6 atomizer to go with the ego battery. If I'm reading you correctly it sounds like you don't like that set-up but my vendor is recommending that for a great hit. Thanks.

Don't get an Ego, it will be lower voltage vape than what you've got now. Go and get some of these:
https://smoktek.3dcartstores.com/808-Single-Coil-XL-Tank-Cartomizer-for-the-SmokTank-XL_p_258.html
and put them in one of these:
https://smoktek.3dcartstores.com/SmokTank-XL--35ml-Chrome-Dual-Coil-Cartomizer-Tank_p_198.html

You'll have an awesome vape, big throat hit and vapor and you keep using your current battery. You'll also be able to load the tank up and be good to go for most of the day, if not all of it.
