Variable Voltage Suggestions Please

I'm looking to buy a variable voltage PV that is not too expensive ($100 or less, less is better). I also don't want a PV that is massively big.

I've been toying with making one myself but I really don't have the time right now to deal with it. Suggestions are majorly appreciated.

The Big Brother might fit your price point and the Infinity is another one that comes in 5 cents less than $100.

Agree with Doots, for the price the buzz is an awesome unit, you can also get a native 801 cap as an extra for using the 801 mini Atty and it works so good because it sucks the juice right back up into the Atty that falls out the bottom of it. You could also just buy a terminator for like $35 and screw it on a reg stacked batt mod and have VV if that's all your looking for and already have a HV mod

You can get a Buzz on classified for less than 100 bucks and it's a GREAT vv PV....solid performer. Another plus is you can use all attys including LR's with it; something you can't do with an Infinity; plus it takes a common battery for any number of mods. With the Infinity you have to add another battery to your stock. Not knocking the Infinity; but for comparable $$$$, Buzz > Infinity

Funny, I've been looking at the infinity and the buzz and trying to decide between them. A while back I'd decided they were too big but I actually drew out the infinity on a piece of cardboard and cut it out. Not too bad. My first PV was a Screwdriver and I was surprised it was smaller than I thought it would be.

I like the fact that the infinity has a thumbwheel with marked voltages. How can you tell what the voltage on the Buzz is without hooking up a voltmeter? I wish they had a phone number to call. They also don't list the size of the Buzz anywhere on their site.

Remember that you definately get what you pay for when it comes to these units. You may think you are saving money, but your sacrificing a lot of features.

And carrying around a screwdriver,
or cant use LR attys/cartos,
or walking around with a woodbox in your hand,
or something extremely fragile that you pray to god you don't drop
or something you have to stack 2 batteries in instead of 1

When your spending a larger amount of money, wouldn't it be nice to just be done with it and not always drool on something better? Spend the $200 and be done, thats my way of saving money.

I do agree with stownz if you got the money go provarie otherwise buzz!The buzz is lighter they have a chart for how many turns = voltage from there you dial up or down your spot. The provarie is heavier with more options and simplicity,comes out shorter with the smaller battery.I own both use both every day.If either dyes i will replace it.

No, they don't. However, from Buzz, it indicates 4.1″ x 0.87″. So the Infinity is substantially more narrow but also a bit longer. Neither sounds like a good walkin'-around PV to me, but then few VV devices on the market right now are.

100 bucks for a buzz and its probably the most durable vv you can get.
