Variable voltage?

I'm still pretty new to this so bear with me, but if I'm understanding things correctly the biggest difference determining preference for one atty over another is how hot they get & therefore how much vapor they produce right? If that's the case, is there any reason a stick where you could vary the juice couldn't mimic whatever atty you wanted at the time?

There are a lot of variables when it comes to atomizers, quite a few in fact. The voltage they are designed to run at is 3.7v, but of course, we have discovered that they can run at higher voltage, with proper care.

In my case, I decided to go with the Penstyle atomizers (aka 801, BE112, Classic Kissbox, 302) mainly for the amount of liquid that the cart will hold. It just happens they seem to do fairly well at the higher voltage.

I may be misunderstanding you on this. All the atty's are unique in their own way, you won't get the heat of a 510 with a Penstyle, the heating element is much further down in the atty to mimic that.

Now, you could build a mod with multiple buttons to provide different voltages, and use the PVMA mod that warp1900 introduced to us. That would give you the ability to vape say a penstyle at 3.7, a 510 at 5v, and a 901 at 6v, or whatever combination that you like.

Also, you could simplify things by building a passthrough that does not contain an in-line battery, and run it off of a variable voltage power source, and no voltage regulator or 2nd or 3rd buttons would be necessary.

The PVMA would simplify things as far as connectivity, so you wouldn't need individual PV's for the proper threading.

I would suggest to spend some time in the modders forum looking some of these things up. There are a LOT of combinations and possibilities, it all really depends on how handy you are.

Thanks for the reply. It would seem it's a little more complicated than I originally thought. I had envisioned simply determining the temperatures of various attys, how much voltage it would require to produce that temp from say an 801 and putting settings to produce the requisite charge. You're right, The pvma is an elegant solution for connectivity. I've already seen several great mods on this forum & I'm thinking my first build may be an attempt to marry some of them into a single device (with all proper credit to the originators of the idea of course)

Here's a fairly simple pulse width modulator that varies the average voltage to the atty.
At around 2.8 volts the 510 Titan is similar to a 910 in flavor.

somewhere theres a list of Ohm ratings of Verious Atomizers..Just for Ease lets say a 901 Atomizer is 2.5ohms and a 510 atomizers is 3ohms...Wouldn't you just be able to connect a 1/2ohm resister onto a 901 Atomizer and have it work exactly like a 510 atomizer?

I don't think its that simple. It could work the other way round as a 901 has a higher resistance than a 510. You'd have to take into account the internal resistance of the battery used and the power loss in the resistor. Sometimes I find wiring up a circuit and trying it faster than all the math
