Simply, your device doesn't care if there is one, two, three, or four coils in parallel or series. It sees a resistance, feeds that resistance a current the the resistance drops a certain voltage. All of it conforms to Ohm's Law, Kirchhoff's Current Law, and Power Law, because that's the way electricity works.

So if you like dual coils, attach one to your VW device and enjoy!

You don't even really have to worry about if the circuit is operating by Vrms or Vavg, you just have to worry about how it performs for you. (If you want to communicate your power and settings, it is best to use rms, but that's a different discussion...)
