Vendors - Why not list actual Model numbers?

but where the problem comes in when you have somebody like me who has never bought an e-cig yet but I have been searching the web sites for A good dependable one and I can't make heads or tails out of these web sites1

Wouldn't you find it easier if you knew model numbers instead of these cutesy names? Especially if you have to buy from multiple suppliers because one has atomizers, one has passthroughs, one has batteries, one has carts, one has chargers.

It's frustrating as hell! I don't want to have to keep a separate web page open for cross referencing. :-x

get informed read the forum thats how you know whats what

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo:rolleyes:

It's not a question of being informed! It's a question of giving your customers the information they need to make informed decisions without having to go through all the hassle.

This is ALMOST comical.

Ok.. I read all the posts after mine, but not very many suppliers are going to change and add the model numbers in. They want to keep your business. It's a tough game that us suppliers play trying to compete for your dollars. Just look at the "Sponsered Suppliers" tab. There are a ton of them to compete against.

With that said, I completely agree with you! I am a US supplier, I have a website (look at the link below) and we DO list the actual model numbers for our products on our website. We also post the compatibility of our products with other suppliers products. It looks like the site your looking is mine. I don't have pictures yet, but have a photo shoot scheduled for Monday. I'd like to have your business and i'd work hard to make sure that your happy every step of the way. But, if you decide to shop elsewhere you will have the actual model number for your product.

If you want to see how e-cigs compare and what a "Pilot" model number is, look at my first post on this thread on page 1. It has a link in it for a listing of all e-cig manufacturers and the names we have given them.

I'll take a look-see at your site after I post this reply.

The models guide refered to earlier on Vapetron is great. I have it bookmarked, look at it all the time.

Re-assuring to see the direction this thread took. Been following this forum for a month or so, learning. Was beginning to wonder if I was the only one that felt this 'marketing strategy' was a bit, er, wonky?

Anyhoo... some of us newbies DO invest a lot of time researching and learning, primarily thanks to this forum and the input of all you seasoned vapers here.

One mention earlier was to the effect that customer service would go further in developing customer loyalty than cute names. I soooooo agree. In my short time vaping I've been jacked around by one USA vendor and been completely wowed by another simply by his customer service. 'Course his prices are pretty damn good too.

I started the same way a lot of us did. I researched the industry, the vendors, the forum and anything else I could find. This Forum is awesome and very informational. One of the big reasons why I decided to become a vendor was because I was getting bad customer service from a supplier, will not say who, and thought I could do a better job then them.

One thing that a lot of people don't understand that I want to clear up for the new vapers out there. All of the products come from China. Many times suppliers run out of stock, because we either didn't order enough product, customers buy 15 or 20 Atomizers at a time which makes the stock drop fast or it takes so long to get an order in from China, many times its easily a two week process or longer and that's without Customs issues.

As for not educating enough, we plan on adding a bunch of information on our website for those that are new to Vaping. We feel it is our responsibility to teach our customers about our products, not someone elses.

Thank you for looking at our website and I hope some of you will give us a shot.

Keep vaping,

Adam

That's why I posted before to ask the supplier what model number it is. If they won't tell you then they aren't an honest supplier. It's that simple. Look, we all sell e-cigarettes. I'm no different, I sell them too. But, some of us are honest about what we are selling. Some suppliers are not. If you question what they are carrying, ask the forum. Someone will respond and tell you what they are really carrying. As suppliers its our job to be honest and upfront about what we are selling. Before you buy, do your research on not only the product, but the supplier.

Ah, hell, us customers are just as guilty.
Every time there is a "new" product naming contest, we (me included) slam the thread with a barrage of suggestions, hoping for that free gimmick the supplier is dangling as a prize.
A good way for said supplier to get exposure for his/her "new" item. Nothing wrong with that, really. Nature of the beast, so to say.
