Lisa...MK or anyone...more info on hormone testing? I have no insurance at this point. 29 with 10 years experience and falling apart lately...well ~ for awhile but ...getting worse.
achtung....... sorry for the delayed reply...... I do agree with MK to check with a local clinic to see if someone can give you an order for a TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) test. Also, I'm not sure how it is where you live, but many local pharmacies here (Walgreens, CVS, etc.) have clinics in them now where nurses and nurse practitioners are in residence and can prescribe basic medicines. Even if they can't order something like that for you, they may have suggestions on the best way to get one at minimal cost to you. Also look at: American Thyroid Association: Thyroid Cancer, Hyperthyroid, Hypothyroid, Thyroiditis, Thyroid Clinical Trials, Thyroid Patient Health Information, the American Thyroid Assn. site for more information. Good luck!
Thanks for the info ladies. I do have a gp who sees me for only $45 so maybe I'll check in w/him. It's a tad scary going on to forty w/out insurance...all the basic test stuff that is going to be needing to be done.
The hormones are probably really whacked, last week I was crying watching Suite life on deck and Matilda!
I'll check the link lisa.
The hormone testing I was speaking of was estrogen..but maybe they can do a all in one test! At 40 you are not too young for perimenopause. The crying does sound just like me..I cried while watching Simon and Simon..an old comedy/drama dectective show. Plus my temper..ify at best was just hair trigger! My family tred lightly around me. I am not much better..but at least I can control it better.
hey guys, wasn't sure where to put this, but it kinda goes nicely with the recent moody blues~I caught up on my recorded Glee's sobbing the entirety then went to get my dd. on the way home from her dad's dd was playing with barbie. Barbie announces to me that she has great news, her friend bf Ken is having a big pool party tonight and even though I don't have a date, I'm welcome to come. *ouch* .....ok....Thanks Ken and Barbie, I feel sooo special.
