vented mods?

Hey quick product specific question. I no mods r supposed to be vented when we make them and to use protected batts. Got that...
Now, how come commercial mods ie:the BB, SB, ect. dont have vent holes? I own a BB sso i was wondering.

From what I've read in other threads Rob states that SB is vented through the switch. I would assume the BB is vented the same way although I would like him to verify that.

As long as you use protected batteries or LifePo4 cells venting will never be an issue. Venting does become an issue when users unwisely use unprotected cells in their Mods.

Needless to say having vents on mods is always good since such a simple thing makes our mods that much safer.

Thanks. Crystal clear now thats all i needed. It'd be nice if rob got on here and said something about the switches cuz it'd be nice to know info.

I'm not Rob, but Chad (the guy who makes all of these) has said many times just that. The BB and SB are vented through the switch. If you unscrew the top and look at that fiber washer that separates the batter compartment from the switch area you will either see a hole in it or, if it's an older model, a flat spot on the outer diameter. These are to allow venting from the battery compartment to the top where it vents out around/through the switch.
