Update on BlueCheck....and their issues.
Ok, being transparent, here's how it broke down:
We use Shopify as our e-commerce platform. When we paid for BlueCheck, we were told they could integrate into Shopify, but on August 7th they sent an email saying they meant Shopify Plus, which is a jump from $50 a month to $2,000 a month. We scrambled to find a fix, which is where the 2 days of uploading a pic came into play. But after some long meetings, we decided to upgrade to Shopify Plus. Luckily, they heard my emails loud and clear that giving "checkout file" access to Plus members only was an absolute pile of horse (poo) so, they made a special for Vape related companies to upgrade at a lower cost.
We were fine with this. Then BlueCheck stepped in and gave us the wrong token, then had YOUR tokens going into the company section of your shipping address which gave us issues processing, some of you have never even gotten a pop up to verify and some have just never gotten notified from BlueCheck that they're verified. It wasn't what we were told it would be. Then we get an email from Shopify letting us know that BlueCheck has an unreleased app for the Shopify Platform so we don't need Plus, anymore.
We contacted BlueCheck to find out the details on the app, to see if it would actually work, unlike the java snippet we currently had in place. They assured us that after the weekend, all the kinks would be ironed out. We waited for the weekend sale we ran to be over and on Tuesday, we implemented the new app. Wow.... it has been an absolute nightmare. Yes, it verifies just fine, but we have gotten over 75 emails and calls about the pop up when you go to check the status of your order. We made a fake order to test all of this, and we got the pop up, too.
We could actually proceed with the onscreen instructions, but many of you didn't even have a button to press. We have been in steady contact, and not always very professional with our responses to them, and are now waiting for them to fix it.
The outcome, as of now, is that we reverted back to the java snippet that we've had since Aug 9th so you can all check your order status and not fear that you won't get your packages due to BlueCheck saying you won't until you verify your age. They are just a 3rd party verification service, not our new CEO.
For future orders, when you get to the checkout page, you should still get the pop up. Since you already either logged in to your V3 account, or you put in the saved email into the customer information section, BlueCheck should automatically recognize you via that email.
So, the pop up will already have your name in it. All you'll need to do is put in your DOB and you'll automatically receive the 4 digit pin via that email or mobile # you used during your initial verification session. This isn't another verification, though. It's simply logging you into your BlueCheck account. I'm pretty sure it is also their way of collecting their .50 cent fee per approval, since you were already approved during the initial verification.
We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and we are beyond grateful for all of the orders we have gotten over the last month, while getting this age verification stuff done. Thank you all for understanding and sticking with us through all of this.
Our last email for the sale mentioned we will be restocking more flavors soon. We have a lot of flavors that went out of stock a while back, so you'll be happy about having them available (again). We will also be running another sale when some of them get restocked, so keep an eye out for that!
