I was searching around the forums yesterday and found a very cheap but SLICK USB power adapter that plugs into the wall. It puts out 2 AMPS. This is perfect for the passthrough and the USB charger. In fact you could charge and vape at the same time since it has 2 USB ports. It's only $1.95..lol plus $1.95 for shipping.

USB Dual Power Adapter

Can read about it in the following thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/puresmoker/35288-list-power-adapters-work-ps-usbpass-2.html

If you decide to order it make sure you note you heard about it on ECF. This will help to get it shipped out faster. The people that have it love it...:D

Thanks for the tip! Man, I am really confused about something now, though. I bought another, more powerful USB adaptor today at the Source and, as far as I can see, the specs are the same as the one you have mentioned.
I/P - AC 100 - 240V 50/60 Hz 0.15a
O/P - DC 5V 1A 5W Max

Should I not be able to use my passthru on this??? When I plug it in, absolutely nothing happens just like with the one I got yesterday that was only rated 500 Ma (versus the 1A). I just don't understand what is happening. The power cord I am using is powering other things so it's not that ... any ideas anyone?

Well I tried 350ma's from a current regulator and that did nothing so 500ma's ...I don't know. But given the passthrough will draw around 1.6 Amps if you are using an adapter that puts out at least that much current, the only thing I can think of is perhaps your adapter will cut out if it detects anything over 1 Amp. Over current protection.

Refer to my post in the following thread for more info:

Just so you know I have them being made this week, and pre-tested for our passthru's, should have 1000 next week:p

I already have 1000 that will charge your batteries, and PCC, so anyone who needs these, let us know in comments section, and you get 1 as freebie:pHope y'all can afford that:D

Steve:cool:

Ummm, In case you were wondering, the freebie you sent me WILL run the passthru! I used it on my way home from the PO Box:D Funny thing is it says 200ma, but it ran the passthru just fine???? Just tried it again to be sure, the vapor volume is not as high as a USB port, but still more than a battery...

I know this is a bit old, but the orignal link posted states that #1 port has an output of 1amp (1000ma) and #2 port has an output of 2amp (2000ma). In that case if the pass threw requires 1.6amps it would work on only port #2. The usb adaptor you have has a max output of 1000ma which means its not going to work well or at all.

LOL! :D I didn't even notice that - I guess I just popped it in the right one by chance. When I go home I will have to see how it does on the other one.

Current (1 port): 2A
Current (2 port): 1A

It's more likely that this means 2A if you use a single port, and 1A if you use both.

Jen, see if you don't get the same results using either port.

I believe what they are saying is if you use either port the rating would be 2 Amps. But if you use both ports the rating would be 1 Amp per port. I believe both ports share the max total output of 2 Amps. Therefore you could use the passthrough in either port and the USB charger would work in the other port at the same time.
