Hello All,
I have been vaping for about five months now but had NO idea about all the possibilities out there. I have been a customer of Vapor4Life and have been very happy with their products and Customer Service (maybe the best I have ever found in an E-commerce business.) I have seven of their manual batteries (808's, I think), four USB chargers, use their WOW blank cartos and their Traditional Tobacco Nobacco juice.
Well, at the same time V4L stopped emailing me large discount codes my batteries started to fail (no complaints; five months seems reasonable) so I joined ECF looking for a supplier with lower prices (I am on disability and must watch my budget very carefully.) After going through the various forums and threads I am now totally confused. I was happy with my previous products and think what I would like is an all-day battery that uses the same cartos and juice I have been using (unless this is not practical.) Filling and cleaning cartos is about all the diy I really want to do. Any advice on a new path from the pros will be much appreciated!
Thanks

For me I use the same kit I first got two and a half years ago. I have a 510 battery with a bypass. Have the same to attys but know they need to be replaced soon. I clean regularly with a baby oral syringe. I refill my carts and from my experience the reusablility of attys and cartridges are the way to go for me. I like to not have to constantly buy and waste liq when I tried to clean a carto when ending up finding out it was burned out and useless.

Welcome & congratulations! I haven't tried the KGO personally but have seen posts here from lots of happy vapers! Also its battery should keep you happily vaping a nice long while between charges. Both vendors mentioned for the KGO are reputable, respected folks. In this case I would lean toward the cartomizer version as suggested by Cloud Wizard: SLB KGO Starter Kit However I'll note there may be other differences in the kits which have escaped my notice; also, I believe Hoosier carries the adapter you'll need for using your KR808D-1 cartos on the KGO batteries.

Couple other points: I've also never used the KR808 stuff but I believe V4L runs very regular specials or coupon codes for their site. Also, one of the KR808 vendors has a "fat battery" version out now. I doubt if it's as attractively priced as the KGO but that's just a guess; if you're happy with the 808 stuff other than the batt. life it might be worth looking into.

Best of luck, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Hello and welcome to ecf Dave - Gratz on making the switch to vaping and it sounds like you got off to a great start. There are tons of options available for you, but I'd like to know if there is anything you don't like about you V4L products other than the battery life?

Hi Oban,
Firstly, you must remember that I have only vaped V4L products and they have been my only supplier so I have nothing to compare them to. I have purchased three different models of batteries (in two different sizes) from them and my only complaint is that their newer, supposedly better, models have a shorter battery life than their older models. Other than that; no complaints.

Gotcha Dave, I'd agree that less than 5mo out of batteries is unacceptable. Lots of folk find the KGO Bamboo and Warren recommended to be a great reasonably priced kit. Hoosierecig sells adaptors that will allow you to use your 808 cartos - adapters for different thread types. - get the 510 to 808 - if you want to continue using them, or you could pair it with a couple of boxes of LR Boge cartos and a drip tip or two and you should be good to go on hardware.

You will probably consider mods that use bigger batteries at some point. I started off with the Provari and it's nice to know that a battery will last all day and just in case, you can carry a fully charged spare battery.

You might also want to look into tanks if you are getting annoyed at refilling cartos too often.

Good luck at finding your ultimate setup!

Hi Dave,

Like you I'm new to this whole thing and actually started with a kit from V2cigs. I have found that they are somewhat overpriced but I'm still using their batteries and IIRC they're batteries come with a lifetime warranty which might be a way for your to justify the initial extra cost. My complaint with V2 other than the price tho is the customer service is atrocious so making good on a warranty claim might be a hassle.

That being said I'm still happy with my V2 battery and it currently lasts me all day (not vaping as hard as some members here) but most of their kits come with a manual and an auto battery (you can request 2 manual or 2 autos at the time of order) so I usually have a spare in my pocket if the other runs out.

I also like the convenience of the 808's and it more closely mimics actual smoking which is why I prefer them. For me the 510 kits are for people who've figured out what they want and are comfortable tinkering a bit to "personalize" it spefically for their needs.

Check out the Supplier section of the forum and have a browse on the internet. There is also a vendor review section as well to get a feel for who is awesome and who is still working out the kinks.

Hi! I bought my mom the ego-t 900mah with mega dual cartomizer kit at Easy Vaping at a very reasonable price for a kit. The battery last one day and into the next day and the cartomizer holds I think 3ml of ejuice so it would depend on how much you vape as to how long it would last, but for her it last all day and she refills the next morning. The kit (batteries) are also passthroughs so you can use them plugged into your computer and not drain your battery. It was the best price I could find on the net and she is loving it. The other good thing about the Ego battery is it will accommodate so many other ways of vaping...such as using an atomizer with drip tip or using the tank system. I ordered her a tank system, which should be on its way because I think it is a better vaping experience (vape, throat hit and taste). You can also order that on easy vaping too. The shipping is very good and fast and if you put the code "ecf" in you can get 10% off. FYI...I started out on the kr808's too and just did not like swapping batteries every 3 hours and refilling cart over and over, plus I am a heavy vaper. I skipped the ego setup and went straight for the mod which last 2+ days and the tank holds 5mls which gets me through the day and into the next. I hesitated at the cost of it (Silverbullet at altsmoke.com) but so happy I took the plunge because it is pure heaven now and no hassle what so ever. Hope this helps and does not confuse you even more.

Sorry Dave, some how I skipped over the 1st page of responses and I agree the kgo is better priced Ego but I ended up with the Ego because I liked the passthrough option and different color options with a price that was comparable to the Kgo. The kr808's I started with come from V2 and like the other guy said, they may be a little higher but the batteries have a lifetime warranty as long as you buy something from them every 90 days, which is not a problem because you can always use some carto's or something. I use their Menthol E Juice and nothing so far compares to it. It is my all day vape. They have an xl battery that last longer now if you must have the small e-cig feel (like a cigarette) .

Dave check out Smokeless Image their products are compatible with your 808s and they have bigger batteries that will last more hours. They have some great prefilled cartos and juice to match for refilling. There are coupon codes and lots of sales plus a returning customer program They also have a subforum here on ECF so you can ask questions.
