Got a starter kit at liquidbarn and followed all instructions for use and handling. Made two stand alone flavors one strawberry cheesecake, and the other waffle. Used 20% flavoring on waffle, and 15% with the strawberry with 6mg. nic. 50/50 VG, PG shook very well and let sit for a day. Smelled great! So exciting, tried them and NOTHING. No flavor at all. Was so excited to start DIY and now, not so much. :(

Percentages sound a little high. Too high % of a flavor can equate to no taste in the finished eliquid. Maybe try 10-12%. dessert/Bakery flavors can also take some time to age to get the flavors to meld and come out. I usually age my bakery liquids about 3 weeks to a month before I vape them.

Percentages definitely seem too high. Best to start with lower percentages and work up from there if the flavor seems muted. Even my strongest recipe calls for no more than 12% flavoring and I may knock that one down on the next mix.

Thank you, will steep them for a while and try them again. New at this and my first trial batches so my expectations may be a bit to high.

I hope they work out ok :) I'm awaiting delivery of my starter kit to give it a go myself. Very exciting. But I guess it will take a while to work out what works best for you and your set up.

Did you follow a recipe?

Sounds like you are using way too much flavoring, adding more doesn't always make it taste better.
your strawberry flavor suggests you only use 8%, my cheesecake mixes used to take about 10 days steeping before the flavor ever started to really come out as well.

Strawberry Cheesecake eLiquid Extract

Try 8% then let it sit in a drawer for a week or two giving it a shake once a day.

Ok, thank you. Should I throw out what I have or give it some steeping time to see?

Definitely let it age a week or two! Try it then, and if it's still "blech" pour it down the drain. Who knows! After it ages out a bit it might be vapeable.

Also what I do while I'm aging is twice a day (sometimes three) for the first week I'll "burp" the bottle. Take the cap off and squeeze the air in and out of the bottle a couple of times and recap and give it a good shake. It replaces the old stale air in the bottle with good fresh air.

Do you have something bigger to mix it in?

add 1% more flavor
add in as much base as you already put in
add as much nicotine as you already put in

and you just have a bigger batch :D

I started with the same kit & love the flavors
As far as I know Liquid barn makes their own. all flavors from them I start out at 10% even have to drop the percentage on some of them. I think yours is way to high. Some of the flavorings do take time for them to "pop" their creme Brulee & Vanillia Ice cream I let sit a week before using now

No need to dump it. If to much flavor was added dilute it with more base. If 35% total flavor was added dilute it by half which will bring it to 17.5%. If still no taste then dilute it by half again which will bring it to 8.75%
