very frustrated! I need a few words of support!

I am NOT a newbie! I have been vaping for well over a year and have been completely off cigarettes for a year now. For months my all-day, go-to must have juice has been waffle from TV. Lately it has been tasting off. It's not from a new/different batch, just one day it didn't taste so good anymore. And now my attys are dying! I recently discovered the 901 atty. I feel in love. HARD. I ordered some 1.7ohm bulk from vaporkings. The first one lasted almost 2 weeks, the second and third gradually petered out over a week or so and the 4th and 5th only last ONE day! No warning, no gradual performance reduction.. one minute is was working fine and the next is didn't work at all. I was using it on my vv box mod at low voltage and it was wet. It didn't burn out. The next one I put on a 3.7 box mod and dripped.. again, no warning, no burning, no petering out.. just BAM.. out of the blue.. it stopped working, no firing at all.

I figured it might be the curse of the LR atty. so I ordered a bulk order of 10 more, this time at 2.9ohms. The first one I put on my vv box, I put a drip shield on it. I bottom fed it plus dripped when I was sitting here at the computer. The voltage wasn't high, it was plenty wet. I was in vaping heaven! Then I put it down and walked out of the room. A few minutes later I picked it up and it was dead! Just like the others! At $4 a piece, these attys are cheap enough but not when they die within one day! When I was smoking, I went through a pack every two days, this is twice as expensive! and that's not counting the cost of juice!

I am now using my second 901 atty out of the bulk order of 2.9's. I am babying it. trying not to chain vape. It just seems that if its not one thing, it's another! First I had problems with my vv box mod cutting off (protection circuit tripping) then my beloved waffle juice started tasting odd and now my attys are dying! I've read posts over the last year where someone can't keep an atty alive and I felt sorry for them. I figured they must be doing something newbieish wrong. I am soo bummed.

And last but not least.. my cartos (1.7 ccv resurrectors) aren't lasting much longer than a day too! They don't die, just get a blah flavor and the performance dies so much that I find myself reaching for a new one every day. I'm going to mix up some plain PG nic juice with just a touch of VG and no flavoring or sweetener to do some experimenting on the effect of flavors and sweeteners on carto longevity. I have some unflavored PG nic juice from Liberty-Flights that I enjoy.. so I'll see if I can make a carto last using plain juice.

I had finally found my vaping nirvana. I absolutely love these attys when they are working. The hit is great.. the vapor is wonderful and the flavor is almost too much to bear. I'm not tempted to go back to cigarettes. I'm done with that, besides, I can't even stand the smell anymore.

I can well understand why newbies turn back to cigarettes. It can be so frustating!

(on an up note, I did find some more juice that I love.. caramel popcorn and tasty finger from TV.. that maybe why my waffle isn't tasting the same, because I have been using other juices. I diy chocolate and vanilla but I've always done that and they haven't affected my waffle passion!)

Hey Donnah - sorry you are going through such awful times with your vaping! Worst thing that happens to me is I lose all taste for a couple of days (allergy related, not vape caused). I hope you stick with it and I would like to suggest a tank for making the carto's last longer! Good luck!

Hang in there, Donnah. I have no idea how/why it happens but once in a while I go through spurts where attys die in bunches. I'll cruise along with two attys for 6 weeks, 8 weeks or so and then I'll lose 4 inside of a week. My theory is a complete lack of QC coming out of China.

And the loss of flavor thing? Yeah, that happens to me from time to time (2.5 years of vaping). I use that time to *dispose* of liquids I bought and didn't like. Last week it was almond. Almond? WTF was I thinking when I ordered that? =)

You KNOW you're not going back to smoking... just *ain't* gonna happen at this point, right? So, just bide your time and you WILL get that gem of an atty/carto that goes a few months and brings up the overall average.

Thanks guys.. nope, I won't go back to smoking. I love vaping too much! I'd go with the above suggestion and use gum before I would pick up a nasty cigarette again! I've cut down my nicotine to less than 10mg in my mixes so I'm not in it for the nicotine that much nowadays anyway.

I did mix up some unflavored juice and am vaping it now in a carto (1.7 resurrector on a 3.7 OG bottom feeder) and it's really good! It has a light, sweet, caramel flavor to it and it super cheap to make! I've got a post on the diy forum where I'll post back with results on how long I can make a carto last with it. And maybe if I alternate the unflavored in a carto with my flavored stuff in the 901 I can maybe keep the atty from dying so fast. The only thing I can figure out (on why the attys are dying within a day) is that maybe I'm chain vaping them.. so maybe if I cut back using them so often they'll last. (crossing my fingers)

As far as taste goes, I haven't lost my taste for anything except my beloved waffle! I've used it daily for months and now all of a sudden I don't like it anymore. But that also happened to me with other flavors over the last year also. I used to vape Bluemist caramel tobacco and now I can't stand it. I had just hoped that it wouldn't happen with waffle. It's probably because I tried caramel popcorn and tastyfinger and liked them. My waffle juice must be jealous.. ("I'll show her!")

Just keep it up bud been there done that i'm at 2 years now man it can be frustating!But on the other hand very satisfieing and much better then cigs.Tv's caramel popcorn is one i can't go with out.These days i use nothing but dc cartos on VV mods.

I've never had much luck with TastyVapor's juices not clogging up everything I put it in. I strictly use 510's but still, what gives with the clogging? I love his tobacco sweetened. Hang in there. I've used dcc's with other juices and have had wonderful luck with them. I've only had one that wanted to short out a mod but I caught it in time before it could do any damage to anything. As for atty's, you might give the dual coil atomizers from cloudsofvapor.com a try. I love them at 6V. No burnt or metal taste to them. I've been running 2 of them for 2 months with Ms.T's juices which are really sweet...and yes, I chainvape the crap out of them. I love her powdered sugar juice but the stuff will crystalize over time. About every 3 days, I give the atty a rinse in vodka and hot water, stick it back on, and go for another round. I hated atty's up until Bruce started selling these. They are 1.5ohm but he's supposedly going to get some higher ohm's ones in eventually. Just a thought..........

Sorry to hear about your bad experiences Donnah. It's probably time for you to find other juice vendors that won't be as hard on your atomizers. You might wanna try out Alien Visions or Virgin Vapors. What I found is that I needed more then 1 or even 10 flavors to keep me interested. I could never vape that for a while. I need constant changes in flavor.

I've had great luck with them in my atomizers. Some of them are on the 3 month mark. Although, some are showing signs of their age. I find that if I turn up the voltage on my Army Tank a bit. I can bring them back to life.

I know the exact feeling about atties dying to quick. On my first month, I lost 5 atomizers due to bad juice. Especially some of the stuff I got from Madvapes. Overall, if you really like vaping then just keep at it. You'll find the right combo eventually that will make it much better.

I love waffles too! I get mine from Kick Bass Vapor with extra butter and it is absolutely amazing. After you let it steep for a couple weeks, the flavor shines and only gets better after a few more weeks. I use boge 2.0 LR cartos on my reo grand (bottom feeder) and the taste is great. Most consistent/longest lasting cartos I've tried.

I fell in love with the 901's, the first three (5 at a time) orders worked great, and i swore that I would only use the 901's. Then for 5 months I couldn't find one 901 that worked more than 3 days. I spent HOURS, DAYS, WEEKS wondering why all these atty's don't work, thinking of new designs that might work better. I was thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking "why are we buying this crap?" They taste just as good as the 901's, they last 5 to 7 days, some take about an hour to worm up to perfection, and they take approx 1.5 ML liquid to fill up and refills with 30-40 drops. Maybe 2 out of fifteen don't work good, but 15 of them last me a little over a month (THATS $1 A DAY)! It comes in two resistances 1.5 and 2.5, the 2.5's only work on 4.5V and up voltages, and the 1.5's work great on the EGO-battery. Now my brain is at rest, no more thinking about modifying attys, no more thinking about filler mods, no more thinking about thinking about!

Also, my favorite juices are Waffles, caramel popcorn from Tasty vaper. I just found the third in the Tri-fecta of the best juices ever!!!! TV Coconut Cream Pie, it is soooooo good, you gotta try it. If you ever find a fourth flavor (since we have the same tastes) that competes with these three, let me know.

I read your post on the 901. They say love is blind and concerning the 901 atty I now believe it! Glorious vapor! Such pure flavor! If I can get it to last a week it'll be worth it! I've tried the dual coils and found that for the price, they weren't worth it compared to the single coil boge (for me anyway)

I never thought about it might be my juice's fault. I've heard of atty killers but didn't think I had one (or more) hiding out in my home. But this isn't juice related, not the death of my 901's. Not like this. I can see if they got gunked up and dropped in performance.. but these just quit.

So you use tasty vapor juices in the cartos you mentioned above? And they last about a week? OK.. I'll get some my next order.. which will be later next week (payday and all) and try them.

Also.. I'll get some coconut cream pie juice. I love the bakery type flavors. Have you tried TV tastyfinger? I love it just as good as the others.

There you go again, in this quote: "If I don't do", "If Only", "If Only I", "It's Gonna Take", "It's Just Not Fair", maybe this, maybe that, thinking, thinking, thinking. I use to go crazy trying to get those things working, and thinking of ideas for better designs... maybe if they used thicker wicks in the coil, maybe this, maybe that. I have used other cartos before, and they worked good but most of them had a plastic-y taste till i used the duel coils. I'll give the boge a try also, what the heck.

Yes, I always get the doublers (for mixing larger quantities) for Tasty Finger also, It is good also, but it is a little heavy tasting, I have to be in the mood. It has a good TH. Its the same with caffee mocha. There really good but I usually don't vape them for much more than a day. I can vape Waffels, C-P, C-C Pie all month long. Also Banana Nut Bread is really good, I usually vape that for a couple days at a time.

That is true, Like the heavy, thick tasting flavors like caffee mocha, usually cut atty life by about 40%. They get the atty tasting muddy a little earlier than the lighter tasting stuff.
