It is showing a LG ICR18650HB2 as a 30 amp continuous discharge battery using ICR chemistry...:facepalm:

Kinda makes the rest of the information somewhat suspect.

For the most part they copied the first 3 letters in the battery part number (ICR18650HB2) without realizing it's wrong in these cases. Yes, makes me wonder just how much they know too

I have tested 20 HB2 cells and they really do have excellent performance when used in mechanicals. One thing to note though is that they are very very sensitive to hard shorts. I have been accumulating as many graphs as I can of as many batteries as I can using a programmable computerized battery analyzer set up for various scenarios. I'm sorry for the short reply but if there are any particular questions I'm happy to answer as my day job keeps me from being able to put the test report together that I would like. What I have found during my battery testing is very interesting and verifies a few things people hold as true about these batteries and dispels many others.

Great stuff, there can never be too much battery testing :thumb:

Please explain what you mean about the HB2 being sensitive to hard shorts. If you could compare that performance to the 25R, HE2, or any of the VTC series, that would be great.
