I currently own this starter kit

C.C.V EGO 3.5ml 1.7 ohm Single Coil Tank Starter Kit (Resurrector)

the two cartomizers that came with the package I had refilled exactly how I refilled my Blu's (back when I was ignorant to their poor quality) Is this the correct method?

pop the cap, drip on inner walls while turning till wool is soaked, sit for 3 mins, rinse repeat till it started dripping out the bottom.

I was told this is the correct method and was called "priming".

The vapor however produced by this method resulted in a harsh hit at the back of my throat which I suspect was much harsher than a standard throat hit.. Did I refill these cartomizers wrong?

I have since set them aside and stared at my batteries wondering what cartomizers to purchase for these batteries.

I have 0 knowledge on compatability thus am at a loss at which cartomizers to buy for the batteries that came with this kit, what juice to fill them with, etc.

complete noob. help? :(

screw cartomizers... here ya go (yet again) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/378914-suggestions-newbies.html

btw any 510 connection device will fit on ur batt so get whatever u want

screw cartos?

what would you recommend then?

I hear "dripping" is superior but know nothing on the subject, not even a single clue.

dont know what they are or how to use one. I've owned a blu cig, and switched to this kit thus cartos were the only experience I've had.

if you could give me a quick rundown and even a link to somethin that will fit my 510 battery that'd be awesome.

Lessifer is right. That kit's juice delivery devices are cartotanks. The carto's likely have pre-drilled holes in them and are meant to be put into the tank. The tank is filled with your juice. If you were attempting to vape on the cartomizers with the holes without the tank, that would be a very unpleasant experience.

screw cartomizers...

Darkhood, nearly every post that I see that you post in, I see you bad mouth the use of cartomizers. The fact is, many people prefer cartomizer or cartotanks over any other delivery device. Just because you may have had a bad experience with them does not mean others will, too.

I have no issue with you expressing your opinion. But realize that new vapors need to find out for themselves what might work best for them, which might very well be cartomizers. New people come here everyday and have no idea of what is good or bad, so spreading prejudiced opinions does no one any good. Feel free to offer suggestions or offer reasons why you didn't like something, but don't say you didn't like such and such because it tasted like the intestines of lamas.

Just MY opinion. :D

"if you could give me a quick rundown and even a link to somethin that will fit my 510 battery that'd be awesome".

anything w/ a 510 connection will fit for ex - Vape - SmartVapes 306 1.8ohm E cig Dripping Atomizer

directions on how to use it are at the bottom of http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/378914-suggestions-newbies.html :D

oh wow so I read your suggestions for newbies post, so drip atomizers require you to drip every 2-3 hits or so? that sounds annoying in my opinion..

correct me if im wrong.

a cartomizer is more of my preference because I can puff on it all day without refilling till the next day.

it is annoying but its the best way to test new flavors and also gives the best throat hit and flavor imo. yes cartos are much easier and will last much longer, same w/ the vivi nova i recommended. a 3.5ml vivi nova tank will last u the entire day and probably into the next if ur a PAD smoker. cartos, depends on what size u get.

Mini 2.5ml Vivi Nova Setup

that is probably what I will be purchasing next, will i need to buy a replacement ever so often like I would with cartomizers?

or do tank atomizers last much longer, shorter, or... what haha

The atomizer head in the vivi nova will eventually go dead, probably lasting at least twice longer than a carto might. Some people learn how to clean these. You can get replacements for the dead atomizer head like these: 3 pack Vivi Nova Head Deal (Mix-n-Match)

I've never replaced one myself, so I don't know how easy or difficult it might be, but I'm certain there is a demo video on how to replace the head on a vivi nove on You Tube. You Tube will soon be your friend in vaping.

My specialty is cartotanks, but they have a slightly higher learning curve than the vivi nova tanks.

I recommend that the resistance or ohms of your juice delivery devices be higher than the 1.7 ohm cartos that came in your eGo kit. A 650 mah eGo battery will struggle to perform and not last long on a charge using that low ohm. 2.0 or 2.5 ohm for a carto or vivi nova tank would work best for your battery, as shown on the Safe Vaping Power Chart linked below:

As for Baditude's post...I'm seeing lots of misinformation being posted on these boards lately.
