Hello everyone,
Recently my nautilus Mini has started to give off a very unpleasant bitter metallic taste. I tried every solution I could find( cleaning everything, changing juices) but still it tastes bad, can anyone tell me how to get rid of this I really don't want to go back to cigs.

so did you get it last week?

vaping on the same coil for a week?

the coil probably needs replaceing/cleaning.

I'm with edyle and Totally on this one. Coil needs changing.
I have gone through same situation and I'm sure I can speak same for all Nautilus users that went through this character building opportunity (taste)

So there was no point in cleaning it, I just read the manual btw and it says do not clean the atomizer, but some forums said it was ok.

So is it a used cleaned atomizer that is causing the taste or is it as somebody suggested the drip tip?

If you have another atomizer coil , try it please and let us know If that is the problem instead of guessing all over the place.

if it's the atomizer then the next thing is how to properly clean your atomizer

What is the correct way to clean it ?
I soaked it in alcohol for approximately 20 mins, and then washed it with water.

Cleaning the coils is an exercise in diminishing returns. Sure it might prolong it's life a little, but these things aren't made to be cleaned and reused. You run just as high a risk of trashing the coils by cleaning them of reviving them. Something to think about.

Cleaning the tank itself is pretty straightforward. Hot, hot water, dish soap if you like, just be sure to rinse it all away. I see zero need for any solvents of any kind. Worst case scenario you might need to do a little scrubbing with a toothbrush or what have you.

Vaping is cheaper. I believe atomizer heads for the mini run an average of between 2 and 3 dollars each, depending on where you purchase them. Even if a head only lasted you a week, that cost would still only run between 8 and 10 dollars a month (not taking into account the cost of juice). When you smoked, were you spending less than 10 dollars a month on cigarettes?

Alright everyone I figured out the real cause and since I haven't found a definitive article online, I decided to narrow it all down here for future reference, since some Nautilus Mini users might(probably will) encounter the same problem.

If you get an unpleasant taste, low vapor production, and if also the attachment ring heats a lot (the one that connects the tank to an ego battery) you HAVE to change the atomizer, everything will get back to normal, I just did it and my ecig is back to being perfect again. As Rwb1500 said, do NOT clean the atomizer, it also says so in the manual, cleaning it won't make ANY difference, so don't even bother trying it. Since the atomizers are indeed cheap (I bought 5 for 3.50 euros at my local smoke shop) the change won't cost you a lot (as LMS62 correctly stated).
tl;dr version:
IF you experience any of the following:
Unpleasant taste (Mostly metallic with a hint of a bitter)
Low Vapor production (or inconsistent)
The ego cone (the ring that connects the battery to the tank) heats a lot
possibly the airflow adjustment ring heating too
Then CHANGE the atomizer. DO NOT clean it.

Also, I noticed that my battery now lasts longer, I've been vaping for 2 hours straight whereas before I could for 1 and a half-2 hours tops, but that might not be true for everybody.

In general, an atomizer lasts for 4 to 6 weeks depending on your use, for heavy vapers it might drop down to 3 weeks or a month tops.

Have a good one everybody.

EDIT: Also, a "healthy" atomizer makes a loud hissing/crackling noise when you click the battery, if it makes a subtle sizzling noise most likely it needs changing.

So I should buy atomizers ? Damn... thought vaping was cheaper, oh well what can I do.

Vaping can be cheaper; but you can also go the expensive route.

The cheapest way to vape is with a rebuildable (you buy kanthal resistance wire and wrap your own coils and use cotton for wick)
instead of buying replacement atomizer heads all the time.

The most expensive route is buying cigalikes.

For the older single coil systems proper cleaning of atomizer coil heads consisted mainly of dryburning.

The newer fancier dual coils aren't so easy to clean.
