It has been a couple of years sine I have even purchased a clearo as I am mostly in to re-buildables now. Beginners keep asking me for recommendations. I always use to say the Kanger T-2 as it was a simple and easy clearo that did the job. I know there are better on the market now days. I was recently given a Mini PT2 and was shocked at how much it muted flavor and don't really want to recommend that.

What clearo should I be recommending to Newbs now days. Nothing to expensive, or complicated and certainly no need for sub-ohming at this level.

Thanks gang!

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess the new fangled technology doesn't come cheap with the Mini :) The Aspire seems much more reasonable for a starter rig. I think I'll recommend one and get one for myself to see what it is about. But, I think I will still recommend the Kanger T2 if it can still be found. Certainly no Kayfun but they things just plain work. I like things that work.

New inexpensive one out there that is making a big hit is the E Leaf GS Air; GS Air M and GS Air Ms. The M and the Ms are the newer versions. Under $10 at sweet-vapes and other retailers. A nice air flow controller and 18mm diameter make the M (4mil) and Ms (2mil) work well for many and look great on an istick or a tube.

The nautilus has been popular for quite some time -- mini or larger one with BVC coils. the lesser known cerotank uses aspire BVC coils, but might have a more appealing look.

All of these are great for beginners and quite satisfying for some of us vets, too.....and IMHO much improvement since the T2 and PT. :2c:
