I miss all the cool dt's and carto tank designs. Nice looking stuff back then. Although the mods are pretty nice now.
It would be nice to see more artsy creative vape things available. We deserve nice things too! :thumb::cool:

Nothing about the led lights appeal to me. I agree more artsy and creative is needed. I'd like to see more engraving on plain metal mods.

I started and quit smoking with M402 (on the left) back in 2009. Then Laser mod which was really a modified laser. And so on and on and on...

I almost bought some of those when they were on clearance back in 2011-2012. I liked the swirly pattern on them. But, I got control of my shinyitis and didn't. After all they were already outdated. But, pretty!

I still have a carton of boge cartos... well I guess it would be a case, a case of 10 boxes of 5 - just in case of an apocalypse.. lol
LOL, Just saw this today because I still have about 8 boxes of 5 ( there was a big sale and I bought a bunch)that I was looking at recently. So I took one out and put it on my Provari and it's still a good smoke.

I started vaping in 08.

The differences between 08 and now are pretty significant. You saw the same few people posting in nearly every thread. There weren't many people around here yet...compared to now at least.

There weren't any brick and mortar shops, a limited online presence, and chinese kiosks in every mall. The types of devices were between enough models to count on a hand..maybe a few more, or you purchased a mod which was truly a mod. The Screwdriver was my first. An altoids tin was my second.

Theres just too many things that have changed to possibly name everything.

Yeah, after talking on this thread a bit ago, I put a carto tank back in rotation also. Only ever minded when the draw gets to tight. Last forever. I used to get a month out of one. All-day vaping, $12 a year for the first few years.

Ecigs would only work if you were walking up a steep hill in the snow.....

One of the things that I have noticed that's different today, is that there was much more discussion about juice. The amount of hardware coming out today is insane relative to 10 years ago. Although there was always innovation and new products, it was a much slower cycle. I was puching carto's with a fridge tool for at least a few years. These days it seems like you need an entirely new set up in 3 months. Backwoods Brew and Alien Visions juice was all the rage. I believe Backwoods Brew is gone now and I haven't seen a thread on Alien Visions in a long time. Everyone knows the provari story. I give REO mods props. They were 10 years ahead of their time. It's fascinating how quickly industry leaders change.
