Hi everyone!

I'm back to vaping and this time I'm using drippers instead of tanks, cart's etc.. To be honest I'm really happy about the results but I want to improve my experience by building my rda. I've researched a lot about the wicks and read many threads but I still can't make up my mind about which onewould bethe safest bet. Here are my alternatives;

1) Standart silica wick
2) Eko-wool wick
3) Regular cotton balls (without boiling)
4) Certified organic cotton (without boiling)

Thanks!

Wicks are like shoes. One size rarely fits all :) Translation: everyone has their fav and experimentation is always a good thing. Of course this issue is very subjective.

- Each member of my KayFun "tribe" is dedicated to a single flavor so never a need to dry burn. I currently prefer Bio Wick at Biowick Cotton 3mm - More Absorbant - Biowick 3mm From the Philippines This is organic cotton that is very easy to work with, clean and never a break in or wick taste. Great vape and never a dry hit and subjectively speaking slightly better taste for me than Ekowool. On the other side of the coin it's expensive. I forgot, I also use it in my REO Mini (bottom feed RDA) since this wicking material holds lots of juice and that means I don't have to squonk as often.

- For my gaggle and out of control collection of drippers I currently prefer Ekowool (hollow core) since in this case I'm always switching and trying new flavors and thus it's easy to dry burn and drip drip drip. My goto vendor with great prices, large selection, and fast shipping is Lightning Vapes - Florida - All the RBA Materials you need! Silica Wick, Ekowool, Kanthal Wire, and more! AND he also has an eBay store to compare prices at lightningvapes on eBay

Finally, some experimentation is part of the equation so it's fine to order a little of what you think might be best and experiment to see what YOU like and NOT what I like.

HTH

:)

The least safest is reg silica, being that it has been reported that it leaves tiny shards in your lungs. I can't say for sure that that is true but I've read that several times on this and other forums. Organic cotton and Rayon is about the safest wicking material but research is still being done on Rayon but from what I've read here it's safer than cotton. Again, nothing has been proven. I would boil cotton balls, especial the non-organic cotton but some boil and some don't. Rayon doesn't need to be boiled.
