[GALLERY=][/GALLERY]Hey guys, theres a million threads about 4nines.. i know... ive gone through a lot of them and just cant seem to find the answer.. i bought a clone off ebay.. was very hesitant about it because I DO NOT ever buy cloned mods off ebay.. rda's, yes sometimes But never mods.. However this 4nine was up for auction, with no brand name or anything, just a straight clone..but looked like excellent quality.. and it was only at $2 with 30 mins left for the auction, so i bid and won it for $5.. It said it was supposed to be a full copper body black 4nine. But when i recieved it, i oponed it up and.. def not copper tube...might be SS to hard to tell. The threads are pretty thin on the tube but are all buttery smooth, and the overall quality of this thing is excellant, very clean, no burs, no machine oil CLEAN, and the engraving it Beautiful.. So im dying with excitement to get this thing running, so i set it up, grab a freshly charged sony vtc4 and my Nobunaga Mini rda, make sure the pin is good, and take a rip.. not even a milli second on the fire buttom and instant heat, shocked my finger on the button And through the threads of the tubing. So i was like what in the Flying Fart!! Unscrewed my rda quickly, took apart the mod and there are 5 arc marks stretching the length of the tube(looks like it was struck with lightning). Why did this happen? It looks like its arching off of the tube threads. I havent used it since. Any ideas would be great. Will post pics..sorry for the horrible quality, my camera cant focus...you can only see one arc line..but there are many...

You had a short somewhere. Did you have the battery in the right way? Did you have the switch magnet in correctly so that the one stuck to the bottom of the battery pushes the switch away? Any defects in the battery wrap? Are you sure the center pin of your atomizer was protruding enough to make positive contact and not cause a short?

I know you said you made sure your pin is good, but I'm going with recessed 510 pin on your atty. Did you push on it to make sure it doesn't compress? Have you ever used that atty on a direct-to-battery mod before like the 4Nine? What happens when it's recessed or flush is the atty coil is completely bypassed. Instead of the battery seeing a 0.5 ohm load for example, it sees a .0005 ohm load. That's all bad. Look at the atty from a side view and the 510 center pin should visibly stick out a few mm. If you're not sure, take a pic for us.
