i recently started using juice with more vg in them, and i have noticed that my atty is starting to get sluggish and not work as well. i usually just blow them out and do a quick dry burn. does vaping vg juice require additional atty maintenance, or tend to shorten the life of the atty? any info regarding vg and atties is appreciated............thanks!

Garyd,

That is a pretty generalized statement don't you think? What percentages? And are you cutting with PG or PGA, because I doubt't that you are vaping "successfully" on straight VG.

What is the base of your unflavoured nic juice?

BTW pure VG vapes like .... in a 510, and clogs attys.
Sorry, it works out very close to 70% vg 30% pg after I cut the pg nic juice with vg and add flavor according to the calculator I use. I also cut my vg with distilled water 20%, can't buy PGA in Idaho or I would try cutting the vg with that.

Thanks a bunch my friend, now at least folks won't be confused.

Vg can be cut with distilled water to thin it out, or everclear, and you don't need a drop of pg. If mixed properly, it will not leak, flood or clog atty's. Everybody's experience will be different, with any mix or filler. Different mixes, different thickness of filler material, it is all trial and error to get whatever type of mix you have to be compatible with whatever type of filler you have, and even the way your filler was made. Like you said at PEC, 7 different ptb mods, Countless Blue foam mods.. They are all different.

I had ordered some juice that was about a 50/50 PG/VG mix. In some cases I am inclined to believe there was an even higher ratio of VG because the liquid was so damn thick.

This was the first type of juices I have really used because I just started vaping a few weeks ago. I destroyed 4 atomizers because the juice was too high in VG (to my understanding). This may have also been due to the fact that the juice was very sweet as well.

I ordered some juice with presumably lower VG mix, although I am not exactly sure what the ratio is. Hopefully this should go over a little better and I won't be killing an atomizer within two days time.

Just my two cents. :]
