I'm a avid carto tank user and looking to move to a 70/30 vg/pg blend or straight vg in my favorite liquids. I do not have any issues with 50/50 blends now with 2 and 2.5 pre punched cartos now but was wondering if the extra thickness will clog the carts? Any best practices or recommendations when it comes to carts and thicker blends? Thanks for your time in advance.

Thanks all. Just wanted to make sure I got the right stuff as we all know wasting money trying to get things just right is always fun. It's nice to see everyone being so incredibly helpful. I was an early adopter in the ecig community back in 09' and just recently returned after going back to analogs back then. Hardware has changed, liquids have changed, but the community here has always been exceptional. Glad to be back vaping. Thanks again.

Carto tanks are the bomb.

When I first joined the ECF and started my vaping journey, almost EVERYONE was raving about the Vivi Nova.

I bought one, couldn't wait to try it out... and was let down so, so, so, so hard.

Then I got a DCT tank to try out. I was still dripping at the time (went from crappy stardust clearos to dripping, I was beyond frustrated with clearos), but didn't know how to properly prime a cartomizer.

I hated my carto tank at first, thought I'd gotten burned. But then my local b&m store taught me how to properly prime a carto (+/- 20 drops), and bang... instant flavor. None of that burnt gookiness from wicks and the heads from the Vivi Nova. Pure juice flavor. I still have my Vivi Nova (it's genuine, got it from Madvapes), but it's unused. Waaaaaaay too much fuss when it's supposed to be "fill and forget" easy.

It is not.

I've got five tanks for my cartomizers. Love them to death. They kept me from getting discouraged and going back to real cigs.

Oops, I didn't offer an answer to the OP's question. In my opinion, and don't take it as verbatim, but the higher the VG, the higher the viscosity of the juice, and that might make "wicking" or "soaking up" issues a bit muddled. I vape 80/20 pg/vg and my carto tanks work perfectly.

I also have about four carto tanks laying around with different juices in them and love them. Any time I vape anything more than 50/50 blended I get severe dry mouth and my lips dry up real bad. Also I get very scratchy. Like a crack head scratchy. Not that I have smoked crack but I have watched enough Dave Chapel over the years to get the gist of it and its a very similar reaction. I don't know what it is than other than a low grade allergy. I have wasted some money on some juice smoking 70/30 and 80/20 pg/VG blends. That's the main reason I was wanting to try some higher VG blends to possibly increase my experience. Its pretty darn good at this point but I think we are all searching for that vaping utopia:D

I use two-holed laser-drilled cartos (Ikenvape or Smoktek) in my cartotanks. I have a variety of juice ratios, some of the 100% vg. I don't have any issues with juice flow. The darker flavors require more frequent cartochanges (my coffee's). Most custom-made juice vendors will make your orders with a thinner vg base if you ask in the comments section upon checkout.

The only juice that I have had issues with in a cartomizer is Boba's Bounty. I think that stuff is made out of glue or something.

Not really. But THAT is some thick juice.

I am a fan of Boge F16 tanks and I recently filled one up with The Plume Room's Honey Fig Tobacco, which is pretty high VG (at least 50%). It worked splendidly.

I should add that in my experience the F16s are way better than the Smoktech dcct. No flooding or gurgling at all. Fabulous taste.

Smoktek is seeming to be a rather reliable producer of cartomizers.

However, glad I didn't jump onto the zmax craze. Two of my fellow vapers who bought the zmax are complaining about the LED plastic screen coming loose, even without dropping, and it doesn't always fire when the button is pressed. It just looked... kinda cheap. It was heavy, but... I'm glad I waited.

Can't wait for tax returns. Vamo and Provari Mini, here I come!
