I'm new to the e cig world, this past monday I bought my Joye 510 starter kit. That day I purchased 3 PG liquids with different nicotine strenghts and flavors. While impatiently waiting for my packages to arrive I decided to invest in a PCC today and ended up picking up a drip tip and 2 more 5ml bottles of juice this time VG. I know that VG is alot thicker than PG but will it still get junked up if I clean my attys frequently? Which is better? :vapor:

Should be OK - a number of people vape VG. If' it's Dekang juice, still not the best juice IMO though a couple are ok. Not very complex flavors and they only offer 100% PG or 100% VG. You can clean your atty if it gets gunked up.

I generally like 70pg/30vg - it's a nice balance of slightly smoothed TH - just takes the harshness off - with a nice amount of vapor. Backwoods Brew is 70/30, and you can select that blend for many of FreedomSmokeUSA's juices. There are lots of juice vendors with selectable PG/VG. I also like Velvet Vapors mystery PG/VG Velvet Blend - probably a bit more VG than I normally buy but nice.

Is there a difference between how much vapor they give? Or the throat hit?

I tend to find that a mix of around 10-20% VG and the remainder PG is a good balance for me. While VG does give lots of vapor, you sacrifice TH and more importantly, VG does negatively affect equipment life. Personally I have atomizers functioning properly for 5+ months without ever cleaning them. In my opinion, atomizer cleaning should only be done as a last resort. In my expierence frequent atomizer cleaning leads to premature equipment failure.

As you move from PG to VG in mixes there is a noticeable increase in vapor accompanied by a slight decrease in flavor strength. The decrease in flavor can be rectified somewhat by adding more flavoring to the mix.

VG is thicker and doesn't leak from the atomizer like an all PG mix is prone to do. VG also is associated with clogging of the atomizer because of the thickness. Most people experiment with the mix level and finally settle down somewhere between 50/50 and 70/30 pg/vg. My favorite mix is from Backwoods Brew at 70/30.
