Ok- So I have posted this question before with little to no response..I searched the threads only to get tons of posts not dealing with VG specifically..
I really want to know who uses VG only, for how long, and what side effects you have experienced..I have tried using wiltons and NOW brand and got horrible sinus infections...
I recently switched to Eco pure and won't really know if it effects my sinuses until a few weeks of build up..
Please all responses much needed..
TIA
I use VG only juices that I make myself from 35 mg VG unflavored, VG and flavors. I've had no sinus problems at all, been using VG-only juices for at least 6 weeks. In fact, in the beginning I was using PG based juices I got premade while I was figuring out my nic comfort level, and I would get a runny nose and headache. Since switching to VG, that's not occurring at all. Truthfully, it could have been allergy season at the time, and I switched to VG when the season was over...correlative but not causative.
I was actually thinking of getting some PG based juices again, since PG is better at killing bugs, better throat hit, better wicking, and see if it is really the PG. Storage life is 2-4 years for PG juices (as long as the flavor does not decompose, but that's not related to the PG), and VG is about 14 months. I don't know what happens at the end of that time.
In your case, is it all PG juices? Only certain flavors? Unflavored? I'm using Heritage brand VG for diluting, from Whole Foods. I've read enough about people having bad reactions to Humco or Wiltons VG. Now brand may not actually be USP officially, which means there may be other things in it.
I had read that VG is also anti-bug, just not as strong as PG. From Wiki:
Topical pure or nearly pure glycerol is an effective treatment for psoriasis, burns, bites, cuts, rashes, bedsores, and calluses.[Needs footnote.] It can be used orally to eliminate halitosis, as it is a contact bacterial desiccant.[Needs footnote.] The same property makes it very helpful with periodontal disease; it penetrates biofilm quickly and eliminates bacterial colonies.

Punaman, I'm not aware of glycerin being used for culturing, and the above wiki indicates that bacteria do NOT like it, at least oral bacteria. Do you have any other links?
I know of at least one domestic juice producer that makes only VG-based juices. He claims that statistically there are more complaints about PG allergies than VG problems. Also, I've read many testimonies of people having problems with PG, which go away by switching to VG.
What do PG based juices do?
Is this flavor-specific, and what flavors do you most often use?
Please let us know how the ecopure does for you. Good luck!
