Picked up 10 Halo 650mah VGO/808 batteries recently for $10. Good batteries.. Halo used to make a nice VGO to EGO adapter but as usual with Halo - NO LONGER AVAILABLE.. anyway the inside threads on said units are 808 so I can still used carts on them but that's all. Now if I had a female 808 to EGO adapter they would still be usable with EVOD clearo's. Anyone know if such an adapter is available anywhere ?... Female 808 to EGO.

Yes I found the Mig adapter but it looks like a male 808, need the female version the Halo batteries are male 808...
This should work! It's from Jac Vapour in the UK though. It says to use with 808 battery and 510 threaded tanks. But...if you look closely...there are threads that are eGo ones at the base of the 510 part.

Jac Vapour is a good company, and there's also a 10% discount code at the top of the page for new customers. S/H shouldn't be too much for lightweight items.
That S/H seems really high, and possibly not correct, especially since I didn't pay that much to have 2 of their Jac Vapour DNA mods shipped to me before.
I wish you luck finding them elsewhere. I thoroughly checked out the first 7 pages of Google search results...when I did a search for "808 to eGo adapter". Checked out at least 20 websites that might have had them, based on what was shown on Google, but...no other luck with anyone having any In Stock.
They responded quickly to my e-mail in re to $18 shipping.. Said no cheaper way, rates have gone way up..
Strange.. I can get $3 of silica wick from FastTech in China.. no shipping charge.. go figure ?
Are those 808 batteries you have manual or automatic?
Also, is the positive pin on these 808s sealed (solid) or unsealed (have a hole in the middle).

That's because of epacket. Tax dollars subsidize small, light package shipments from China. Epacket doesn't exist between western countries.
OK, so you have a couple options if you can't find the proper adapter.
1) The only reason you can't use an ego clearo on a VGO battery is because the positive pin on the clearo sit's too low for an 808 pin, which sits high on the battery compared to a 510 battery. If you have the tools, you have to remove that pin from the coil head and file the tip of that pin down or cut it down to the appropriate length.
2) You can use 2 adapters. This won't be the prettiest but...
- a 808F to 510F adapter (this can be substituted for a 901F to 510F adapter since your batteries are not automatic)
- a 510M to 510F/ego adapter
...will work.
I thought about the 2 adapter solution.. and you found me the part #'s.. BUT I only have $10 in the 10 batteries and the end product would be an aborted look and cost about $15-$20 (inc shipping and tax) so I think I'll pass.. Only hope I see would be to find someone with one of the proper Halo VGo/EGO adapters but that's just wishful thinking.. Guess I'll pass on the idea and relegate the Halo Batteries to the other obsolete Halo "stuff" box... ifyaknowwhatimean
Your only cost-effective option is option #1.
If I find those 2 adapters cheap both at 1 retailer, I'll let you know. I bookmarked a few a long time ago when I was still using 808 stuff, but I have to find that bookmark folder. It may have been inadvertently deleted, though.

Thank You.. so my 10 - 650mah batteries for $10 could be made functional for $6 +/-.. as I already have a 510 to Ego adapter.. would be odd looking but as far as I know neither the vaping police nor the King of England will be coming to my house.. and I could save my proper fitting devices for show at church. If I do it and get them to work I'll post a pic on this thread..

Adapters can be a crap shoot.
Also 808 cigalikes were made with 2 different 808 threads (that I know of), 808D1 and 808D2. Never owned any 808D2s that I know of so I can't say exactly how they are different.
Thanks, but I'm not "good" at shopping for stuff like this, really. I used to be an 808 user so I had to always be on the hunt for parts as time went on and look for ways to keep my 808 stuff alive, hence keeping a bookmarks file (most of which are useless now
). But then I realized what a rabbit hole 808 had become and switched all my cigalikes over to 510. Now life is better lol and the 510 connection is far superior IMHO.

Yes, but just realize that, as I stated above, adapters (especially 808/901 adapters) can be a crap shoot.
IMHO, it isn't worth reviving 808 stuff or keeping it running when decent 510 cigalikes & 510 Egos (and tanks for them) are still fairly widely available. But to each his own.
