Tell me the worst food/meal your mom made you eat as a child?

when I was 5 years old my parents took me out to dinner, there was a dish of chop liver sitting on the table and mom told me to have a bite, it looked like a scoop of chocolate icecream to me ... it was put in front of me, I took a bite and spit it all over the table. and they thought it was funny! to this day I will not eat chop liver!!!

Cheerios and warm milk!!

I remember, sitting at the table till I ate it! Yuk! Cheerios just got soggier and soggier the longer they sat!! Why did she want me to have with warm milk? I think I will call and ask her!!!! lol Because I do like Cheerios, BUT only with um......cold milk!!

tuna fish pie with tomatoes....i do like tuna, but in a cheese pie it was gross, i also can't stand tomatoes, even the smell

I remember coming home from Sunday school as a kid expecting a delicious lunch. I immediately smelled something putrid. The worst lunch ever! A big bowl of steaming hot chitterlings. I was a fool and tried it. I was told it was pork tenderloin...The taste was nasty.

There was something worse then those were that I was forced to try . . . .

All I will say - Without a doubt - NO THEY WERE NOT SWEET AND NOT BREAD . . .

Wild rabbit...The longer I chewed, the tougher and bigger the bite got. Couldn't swallow it. Awful stuff.
It was actually my aunt that cooked it though. Thanks for the contest

I would have to agree with liver...... LIVER and ONIONS... OMG it is like looking at a tongue, and feels like 1 too, I think they put it with onions to cover up the taste, if it's that bad, why eat it??

I grew up with my grandmother living with us. So she was the "stay at home mom", while my mom was the "working mom". My mom had us used to salmon patties/croquets (like crab cakes) way before grandma came to live with us. One day my grandma substituted the salmon with mackerel and told us kids it was the same thing. Totally wrong. Before she told us what she did, we thought the food went bad the smell and taste was the most awful sour thing in the world. We couldn't stomach it and went without dinner that night. On a funny note: My father came home from work took one whiff of the patties and threw them straight in the trash yelling "The salmon went bad!! Dont worry i threw them away!!" I honestly thought my grandma was gonna kill him where he stood.

Liver 'n' onions always flabbergasted my Mom; I loved it... with ketchup of course!

Hi Vicki,

The absolute worst ever was Liver, Beets, Zucchini, and Broccoli. I was only 13 years old.

My Mother cooked simple stuff, and that's what I grew up on. After she remarried, my Step-Father cooked a lot, but he liked stuff we had never been exposed to. She liked it too, but had never cooked it. He was a very good cook, but he liked to Torment us at times, and my Mother backed him up on this one, to make all of us kids eat it... and Not just a Taste this time!!!

Pinching my nose didn't help. I ran to the bathroom to puke 3 times. I hated them all then, and I still won't eat Liver or Beets.

There were never any more Full Meals of all new stuff, but no more "just a taste" either.

Ok I know this will sound weird but the meal I hated most was/is spaghetti. I just can't stand it for some reason. It wouldn't have been so bad, if my dear mother didn't make it once a week knowing how bad I hated it lol.
