Yeah, I know a lot of guys like that. I'm actually just a hair under 6' (so I say 6' so as not to have to break out the tape measure all the time) but I know some little short guys that pack a lot of dynamite.

My buddy Rick is like 5'6 and close to 200 pounds, pretty much all muscle.

Imagine meeting THAT in a dark alley........

No thanks. Hahaha.

I do some Muay Thai and JKD myself, but I like being the "sleeper" when it comes to looking tough. Everyone wants to pick a fight with the tough-looking guy.. happens every time we all go out, someone is drunk and out to prove something. You ever get that?

Nah, I don't. I'm a bouncer by night and everyone in the area I live / hang out in knows that so they tend to be pretty friendly. I've had people approach me with that attitude in the past, though. They tend to learn pretty quickly that the big guy in the group might actually be the "sleeper".

Judo, jujutsu, Muay Thai and Moo Duk Kwon (Soo Bahk Do). I also have a black belt in Ching-Ching-POW.

Good to meet you ;)

Thanks alot Kate. I been a forum lurker since December, so I read tons of posts by pretty much everyone. Your posts are always meaningful and full of insight. Its obvious you touched many with your words. What I'm trying to say is that I do have alot of respect for you and oddly enough your judgment (must be the combo with the Nun avatar hehe) Have to admit though, the first posts on this thread did disheartened me a bit ;) Thank you again

Thanks, there are quite a few good and sensible posters on this forum, I think it's a pretty solid community at the moment.

When a forum gets a bit busy, as this one has, it can be hard not to be dismissive of posts sometimes and we all can have ratty moments. Don't let that discourage you, your posts are good. This topic is important and it's true, we can spread infections by sharing mouthpieces. Something like the herpes virus is a very serious business.

Someone I didn't know once asked me to light a cig for her and I took it and put it in my mouth. Then I realised that it was damp, she had had it in her mouth already and there was saliva on it. Well I gagged, literally, I could not keep it in my mouth and light it. Yuk!

Is that you in your avatar? If it is you, you have a nice friendly face :D

Your absolutley right, there are alot of helping hands here and its so nice to know that there are nice people who are always willing to help without asking anything in return really. The words "solid community" are definatley dead on :):thumb:
Oh my god, A complete stranger?! Thats so um I want to say terrifying? not to mention disgusting, ugh How can someone do that?? I mean, can they not notice if...or not even care? God I hope there was no bad results from that! A disease reminds me of "the frighteners", you know, with the numbers over heads... I remember a long time ago my Dad gave me a cigarette that was damp lol I beleive we shared the same reaction, but from a stanger ;(
I love big smiles! Thats when you know its authentic :D
Yep thats me in the pic, thank you but apparently I get to friendly haha I always been curious what you look like, lol Well I'm sure nearly everyone has! ;) ps. Don't let this sentance be the focal point, because I understand privacy can be rather golden :)

Yeah, in another life :D

It was pretty awful having a damp cig in my mouth, not knowing what was on it :(
That was a few years ago now so I'm sure I'd have noticed if I picked up anything bad. Funnily enough I've had some problems with my liver for the last couple of years and it's not been possible yet to pinpoint what the cause is. When I first found out, my immediate thought was that I had caught hepatitis from that cig. I've had tests done that show that didn't happen but it would be so easy to pass it that way.

I certainly won't be sharing my personal vaporiser with anyone I wouldn't kiss :p

Lol Lacey, wow a whole site completley devoted to the smiley! ha I love it! Thank you

Oh my Kate, That had to be so frightening! Well the only hepatitis that can be transferred through saliva is hepatitis A which only lasts a few weeks to 3 months (wiki hehe) Did you see the list of meds that can cause it!? Thats Insane! And the symptoms are rediculous. I never knew exactly how horrible of a disease it is! Thank god that it not permanent (Well in some cases)
Are you a heavy drinker by chance? Because apparently theres an Alcaholic hepatitis: Ethanol, mostly in alcoholic beverages, is a significant cause of hepatitis (wiki) :)

A large number of drugs can cause hepatitis:[7]

Allopurinol
Amitriptyline (antidepressant)
Amiodarone (antiarrhythmic)
Atomoxetine [8]
Azathioprine[9]
Halothane (a specific type of anesthetic gas)
Hormonal contraceptives
Ibuprofen and indomethacin (NSAIDs)
Isoniazid (INH), rifampicin, and pyrazinamide (tuberculosis-specific antibiotics)
Ketoconazole (antifungal)
Loratadine (antihistamine)
Methotrexate (immune suppressant)
Methyldopa (antihypertensive)
Minocycline (tetracycline antibiotic)
Nifedipine (antihypertensive)
Nitrofurantoin (antibiotic)
Phenytoin and valproic acid (antiepileptics)
Troglitazone (antidiabetic, withdrawn in 2000 for causing hepatitis)
Zidovudine (antiretroviral i.e. against HIV)
Some herbs and nutritional supplements[10]

Awe No! Thats not fair!I mean ,What a rip-off! Wait a minute, how many drinks did you exactly test out? There are quite a few including Absinth over there ha ;) I really hope your problems aren't too heavy and I definitley hope your not in pain ;(*
Speaking of pain, whats the deal with Mr.Troglitazone anyway? I never knew someone so hated/loved/popular/abnoxious/arrogant/ before, Oh wait another minute, Our previous president. Ha! Shall we post Trog 4 Pres '12? No he does have an advantage over Bush that would be brains lol, but that makes it all more scary. I never directly spoke to him. But wow, I seen some wicked posts.

I tried all sorts of drinks and didn't like the taste of any. I've always been the designated driver when out with friends so it's handy in that way.

No I'm not in any pain thankfully. For some reason my liver swells occasionally and gets my doctor all worried but it usually passes after a few months. I don't notice any side effects or anything and am just careful not to take things that I might be sensitive to.

Trog has been around for quite a while, he was here when I found the forum. What can I say ... well, people tend to love him or hate him, he seems to provoke strong emotions. Now that I'm more used to him I can just laugh at what is said but sometimes people get genuinely upset and the atmosphere around him can be pretty depressing. What makes me laugh the most is how he dishes out insults and opinions but cries like a baby when anything comes back at him, he feels so hard done by, lol. He's not two faced though as far as I can tell, if he has an opinion about you or an issue he won't lie about it, I have to give him kudos for that, he may be miserable but I think he can be trusted. Just develop a thick skin and think of him as the onboard entertainment.

:D

Oh, thats really cool to just hang out and have fun doing it. The friends I have, you must drink or smoke or some other third thing to be cool and enjoy the company of having others around you. It's like there's absolutely no reason to hang out with someone unless your doing something in that aspect. Hence all I do is go to work, go to school for certs, play a few games (xbox) or a casino and chat and learn on this forum ha.
Thats definitely one thing I like about trog, its that "whether you like it or not honesty"
I really like the fact that you give praise when its due and your not harsh to judge. Thats a great quality to have. I have these ten rules of life on my blog, which I obviously didnt create lol They're from a series of books I picked up to "stay out of trouble" a few years back. Though I am a spiritual person with loads of personal philosophies and no exclusive religion, I find them so comforting and in a way. Like an appropriate way to live a long and happy life.

ps. your almost at your big 4,000 today!
