I recently received my first order of Virgin Vapor Organic e-liquids...I must say...wow!!!...so natural and clean tasting!! I ordered the French vanilla, vanilla blackberry swirl, creme caramel, pillow dreams, strawberry shortcake, blueberry bliss, Kona coffee milkshake, mango, and wintergreen. I ordered a lot!...I wanted to make sure I tried a bunch of them. I ordered them in 12mg strength. 100% VG, with extra flavor. My favorites were the caramel, pillow dreams, and french vanilla. Now my question is...why is there no flavor? With any other e-liquid that I have ever used...there was a sweetness that hits your tongue as you inhale and then the aroma as you exhale. With the Virgin Vapor juices...there is no sweetness , just the aroma when you exhale. Am I doing something wrong?...they have an absolutely awesome aroma...just wish it had a sweet taste or some kind of flavor to it. Is it because I got 100% VG? I am using the KGo battery and Boge standard cartomizers...any advice?

I just tried today for the first time a Virgin Vapor Kona Velvet Milkshake which I am enjoying as I write. Wow! I had the same reaction as you. I have vaped before only Dekang and joyetech and I'll stick only to non-Chinese organic flavors from now on. About the answer to your question I can only speculate that this is due to the lack of chemicals which are normally found in artificial flavors.

Did you get the 100% VG too?...or a mix?

I've never tried their juice but speculating...

VG mutes flavors. Possibly that is killing your flavor. Have you tried 100% VG before?

If they are all natural, maybe there is not a sweetner they can use in it? I would think they could use Stevia, but IMO that stuff is nasty, so maybe they use that and it is not sweet to your taste?

I have never tried the 100% vg before...only 80/20...so I would think that maybe it is the VG...but it's hard to say for sure bcuz I have never tried an organic juice either. So it could be either one. It's not that there isn't flavor at all...just absolutely no sweetness...I have had other juices that were very sweet so I know it's not just my taste buds...I would definitely highly recommend Virgin Vapor though. I think maybe I should try a blend of vg and pg and see if that makes a difference.

Also...if I directly taste the juice before adding to the cartomizer, it is sweet...could it be the cartomizer killing the sweetness...I use Boge Standard..no LR..she said that LR could possibly ruin the delicate organic extracts...so I went for the standard. I am also contemplating the Vision Stardust instead of the cartomizers...anyone have experience in flavor using a Vision stardust?

I tried the organic blackcherry marshmellow I got from a friend and had the same result.Great aroma but no sweetness. I used an 18650 mod with a Boge sr 3.0 and it vaped great but not sweet, just great smell. It may be the Boge cart. But I have other juice like BWB peach that is sweet when used with the same set-up.

just wanted to post a quick update....It was bcuz it was 100% vg. I ordered some more e-liquid, but this time in a 80/20 PG/VG mix...tastes great!!! I also have changed from the Boge Standard cartomizers to the vision stardust for the eGo. It works great with my kGo. So far, the only negative I have noticed with the vision stardust is that it uses a lot of e-liquid. Other than that...the stardust really brings out the flavor of these organic juices! If you haven't tried them yet...you gotta try Virgin Vapor's organic e-juices...they are awesome to say the least. My advice would be the Creme Caramel and the French Vanilla in a 80/20 PG/VG mix...w/extra flavor of course :) The French Vanilla cannot be found on her website bcuz it is a special order (no extra charge!)...she makes it just for me :)....And maybe a few other people. The best thing about Virgin Vapor is that she (Annette...a real person) will custom make you just about whatever you want! She is also a very awesome person to deal with...friendly, helpful, and full of good advice. You will not be dissapointed!

I have a sampler of VirginVapors Org Kona Coffee Milkshake and just got a larger bottle in the mail today. The sampler is what prompted me to order the larger bottle. On the one I ordered, I opted for the next higher(19mg) up nicotine strength from the sampler, which by default is 12mg. With a side by side comparison of the two, the sampler smells/tastes noticeably different than the larger bottle, which has some sort of chemical smell I can't quite put my finger on (closest I can think of is printer ink smell) and it is somewhat noticeable in the vaping as well. Both are 100% VG with the extra flavor shot.

Does the addition of extra nicotine add a noticeably different flavor/scent? At any rate, being that the package was warm from being in the mail truck, I have shaken it up and am leaving it uncapped in hopes that this slightly off smell/taste out gasses perhaps and it becomes more like the sampler bottle. I would order the lower nicotine level if that is what makes the difference.

Oddly enough, the 100% VG 16mg strength Kona coffee creme I also got today from Vaperite tastes much more like the sampler I originally got from Virgin. I am enjoying the slightly stronger throat hit from the added nicotine though.

OH
I can't say I can vape Virgin Vapor. Just goes to show how different people's tastes are. But the main reason, for me, is very similar to what you're describing (printer ink - funny!). My belief is that I can't stand something they use in the extraction process.

The flavors, by themselves as it were, are close to perfect - exactly what it says on the label. Blueberry is blueberry, coffee is coffee and so forth. I am impressed. But I can't vape this.

The juices I have... oh boy - I let them steep with the cap off, and with the cap on, I warmed them, chilled them - did everything I could think of. Yet, there is still something nasty in there - and it's the exact same thing in all the flavors I tried.

Apart from that, they are too "in your face", hitting too hard, and they have too harsh a throat hit.

It is with a lot of sadness (because I love the flavor) that I must say I won't order a drop of this again.

I'm sure that others are able to enjoy these juices and, frankly, I'm jealous.

Edited to add: Seemingly, the flavor is returning to normal as this stuff airs out a bit. Admittedly, I started liking this brand after it had sat in the cartomizer overnight initially. Still curious as to the effect of extra nicotine content on flavor, beyond throat hit difference. Maybe some DIY mixers will know about this.

The first sampler I tried was so good, I was fraught with worry of a new addiction! LOL
I am going to give it a couple days before I pass preferential judgement. Even still, I would give the 12mg version another try in all fairness.

I am curious as to the age of the samples with respect to that of the recent order. Additional shelf life may indeed be beneficial to these VG mixes.

Look - I get it: there's something in it that doesn't agree with me. They're three weeks old now :( I actually would go against my principle - this juice is something I'd recommend for anyone to try in spite of my experience. I'm sure they are some of the best flavors out there, and the best I have ever tried.

One of those posts I had submitted before I saw yours or knew it was there. Not disputing your claims at any rate. Just figured to right what I had said so as others reading may not get the impression that I was knocking this product without due process as far as patience is concerned. Was really just trying to find out about the difference in flavor with regards to nic strength. I would gladly reduce it in this brand of juice if it is better for the star of this product, which is indeed the flavors.
