I placed an order a month ago with virginvapor because I have heard great things but the liquids I got from them were unvapable. I'm not sure if a mistake was made when making them, but both flavors smell like chemicals even after 30 days of steeping and don't taste good at all. I mean not at all.

I didn't want to bring it to her attention since I wasn't sure if it was me (organic liquid is supposed to be like that) or be a pain in the .... customer. Has anyone else ordered from them and have gotten bad juice? I really want to give them another chance but I am hesitant. They have such nice flavors on their menu. I have ordered juice from about a dozen different vendor and have never received juice like the ones from VV.

any thoughts? I am always willing to give the vendor the benefit of the doubt, especially in this case where lots of people love virgin vapor.

Contact Annette at Virgin Vapors. Explain your experience, with details such as order number (should be listed in your account after signing in), date of delivery, etc.

Annette admits that she has had some bad batches before; there is a thread on her ECF vendor forum subsite concerning one. I don't recall how the situation was handled or resolved.

When you allowed your VV juices to steep, did you by chance open the lids to air out for at least a day or two? Some of her juices use an alcohol base, and by allowing the alcohol to evaporate the steeping process is actualized. Also, since all of her juices use 100% VG, the flavorings need a week or two at minimum to mix well with the VG base. I've been ordering juices from her every month for the last 3-4 months. Upon delivery, I open the glass jars for a couple of days to "air out", close the jars up and shake them good, and let them steep for at least a week, if not two, before I even think about vaping them. All of Annette's juices are hand mixed individually to order (not premixed sitting on a shelf); your finer higher quality e-liquids need 1-2 weeks time to steep from their creation.

My favorite juice ever, my all day vape, is from from VV. So I've placed a handful of orders with them, and I'm always reluctant to try new flavors because I've gotten juice that's totally unvapable as well. I don't think it was an error on their part... I think it's just a matter of personal taste or just not a great juice. My first order was 2 months ago and they all tasted kinda soapy to me right out of the mail. So far I've had:

vanilla blackberry swirl: improved with a warm water steep, was actually really good after about a month
vanilla mint: awesome, is my all day vape
root beer float: weird taste at first, and still a month later, but finally after 2 months I can vape it. not my favorite tho.
mango mint julep: gross. tastes like pine sol or tree bark or something. tried it at 1 or 2 months but still not good.
pina colada: vile, unvapable, soapy tasting. bad smell. no improvement with steeping. i just might not like coconut, but it's hard to imagine that anyone could enjoy this.
peppermint chill: meh. okay. kinda tastes odd but I've managed to vape most of the bottle mixing it with vanilla.
mint tingle: better than the peppermint but still not great. have to mix it to vape it.
eco caramel kona milkshake: pretty good, and I'm not a fan of coffee flavors usually. i'd probably buy this again.

So I guess, for me, VV is hit or miss.

I tried the eco virgin Carmel kona milkshake and the ecv kona velvet milkshake and the rootbeer float. Horrible at first. Left bottle opened for a day then let steep for two months. Rootbeer is vapable but the milkshakes taste bad like stale peanut butter. Think i will stick with Kick Bass vapor and Rawr Vapor. Al

I recall reading a thread on the ECF Vendor sub-forum about a confirmed bad batch that involved Virgin Vapors' Kona Coffee Milkshake. A loyal long-time customer who had bought the flavor a number of times before was sent a very large shipment of the flavor that the customer deemed completely unvapeable. I believe the customer made an informal complaint. Annette responded back that she had in fact had a "bad batch" sent to some customers, but because the batch number of this "unvapable" juice didn't fall into Annette's known batch lot numbers, her recommendation was for the customer to try to trade the juice in the classifides. I don't recall all the details or further offerings of customer service. The thread just sort of died... :( :glare:

My impression was that an uncomfortable situation arose between the customer and VV. I wasn't sure either party went away satisfied. Anyway, last I checked the thread a while back it was still there...still dead. This made me start to wonder about Virgin Vapors customer service. Most vendors go out of their way to please their customers, and you would think especially so for a loyal customer who had spent hundreds of dollars on her juices.

I had responded in another juice thread that my very favorite, all day vape was Virgin Vapors Kona Velvet Milkshake. But because I often try other vendors juices that I think I might enjoy, I mentioned in the thread that I had found a KVM clone (a close second, I still like Virgin Vapor's best). The disgruntled customer mentioned above messaged me about my discovery, and we ended up discussing her issues with Virgin Vapors. She was quite reluctant to make her issues with VV public on the forums. The customer still frequents the boards as far as I know. If she chooses to contribute anything to the story she will.

I feel bad. I'm telling a negative story about the vendor of my very favorite juice that I personally have had no issues with. I've likely said more than I should...

Basically, I just wanted it to be known that the vendor has confessed to sending out (a) batch(es) of bad/invapable/whatever e-juice on her own ECF forum. Whether customers that were affected were in any way compensated via VV customer service, I do not know. Interesting that the Kona Coffee Milkshake has not been offered again on her site for at least 3 months because of unavailability of certain ingredients needed in her mixture. Too bad, because to my knowledge this was her best selling juice.

Yes, I have juice from VV that is unvapable.

I can REALLY relate to your hesitancy to even approach the vendor because of your thinking that it could just be your taste buds and/or not wanting to be perceived as a "pain in the rear" customer. That's what muddied it all up for me too AND what kept me from addressing the problem for quite a while.

I feel as though both I and the vendor were at fault in not coming to a satisfactory resolution on this issue. I waited too long to address the issue and then .....footed around the problem to spare her feelings and she dismissed it as an issue with my tastebuds and not her problem.

So my advice to you is....clearly state the problem you're having and let the vendor know what you would like to see done to address it.

I finally ended up sending some of the juice to someone who was very familiar with it to taste test it for me. You may want to do the same, so that you'll at least have another person's opinion. I wish now that I would have done that BEFORE addressing the problem with the vendor. Then I could have presented the problem as being with the juice. Hindsight is always 20/20.

The only reason that I am making another public statement about this issue is because my post to the vendor was mentioned in this thread AND the vendor has NOT bothered to contact me privately to attempt to end this on a more pleasant note.

Hope that things work out better for you than it did for me!

Glad that you came forward to share your experience, Gloria. I was hesitant to identify you by name, as I considered our conversation about the topic as private. I did feel it necessary to expose your experience for others to read in case they were having a similar experience.

I still feel bad that you and Annette were not able to resolve the issue adequately. Her response seemed less than satisfactory when one considers that you have spent hundreds of dollars on her products. Her comments and responses were not up to par from a customer service viewpoint. You were understandibly hesitant to contact the vendor because of her reputation, I think, but it would have been the correct thing to do. Letting others learn from your mistakes is a good thing.

gordong11, let us know what happens after contacting Virgin Vapors. Keep us up to date.

I ordered a big bottle of Death By Chocolate and it was and still is (months later) very very bitter. (I was expecting a taste like the famous cake by the same name, sweet, chocolatey, fudgey, moist, melt-in-your mouth kind of cake to die for!!!.) When I wrote to Annette she emailed promptly and replied that I should try the Chocolate Cake, saying it was sweeter etc. I already had a big bottle of choc cake from her and it's bland. Her stuff definitely needs to steep a few months, but meanwhile I'm mixing them with other juices to use them up. Just my :2c:
