I got some sort of non Vision Nova tank.
It has little cones on the coil heads (Dunno if this is SmokTech or some sort of Redux). It has a Metal tank. Came with a Metal Drip tip.

Is there any way on Earth to make these things taste as though I'm not smoking boiled hotdog water out of a raw led pot?

It's metallic, it hits REALLY hot (It's a 2.4 ohm coil labeled 1.8). I dig the tank...but whoa...it's unvapable.
Any tricks?

3 and 3.5 Watts! Not a thick Juice.
I've different heads. I'm self wrapping one now.
Do I need a witch Dr and a sacrificial goat?? :D

LOLLL it should be fine. That "cap" is the silicon cap and seals between the drip tip and the air way to prevent leaks. Maybe try a 2.4 ohms as 1.8 gives a "warm" vape and it's even warmer cuz the coil is at the top close to the mouth. Could also be a hot spot. Sounds stupid but do you have a multi tester to test the new wrapped coil?

I do. I'm working on it. This thing has become todays project. It's not my only tank. It'd just be nice to be able to use this one :D
What I meant is unlike Nova caps which are flat, this has a pointy metal cone coming up through the silica cap. like it's sending the vaper straight up to the tip. I've seen pics of redux heads that look like it.

The Vision clearomizers have that type of pointy tip. Realize also these Vivis including the Visions can be out by + - .4 ohms. Try taking the cap off while holding the tank vertical and vape- see if that makes a diff.

Countless times people will post complaining of poor Vivi performance. It's only later we discover they're using Vivi clones. I've used all sorts of diff delivery devices and the best so far, for me, are the Vision Vivis. Using them for 6 months, heads are lasting 10 weeks...still firing fine but the wick begins to shred. I was recommending a great inexpensive 3.7 starter kit until the vendor changed the Vision Vivis included in the kit to ST Vivis. That's the reason Vision Vivis are hard to find and the reason they were the first "out of stock" item around Chinese New Years. In my 1 1/2 yrs vaping I believe the Vision Vivi are the best innovation in the vaping world. All we need now is a head with no silica wicks IMO.

It was not sold as a Vision. This particular vendor doesn't like dealing with the company Vision for whatever their reasons, they used to...
I just wanted an all metal tank. My original post was more to the question of other than washing and doing a self wrap...can these be salvaged :D

I just thought- have tried a dry burn on them? Gunked up coils can get quite warm.

Actually are you using them on the Vamo? I just ordered one as I sold my Porvari a few days ago...
Delivery devices can run really warm on the Vamo if it's in mean/average mode. In RMS it runs much cooler. Hold the little button on the right for 10 seonds until it reads "No2". Also, try running it in watt mode if you already aren't- hold the left small button for 10 seconds. Set it to about 6 watts and try it out.
I remembered this when researching before buying.

Yes I'm in RMS. (Have already replaced the silca ring under my post with #60 black plumbing o-ring) It's not the PV it's not the juice....it's the POS components with this clone :D

Sorry but all out of ideas. My problem is some of these clones/ junk are being manufactured by some fairly "reputable" large companies.
Smok Tech- LOVE their cartos, hate their Vivis.
SLB- LOVE their Kgo, hate their Kgo VV.
Vision- LOVE their Vivis, hate their clearos.
I just wish we could purchase this stuff without having to wait and hear from the retail "guinea pigs". As far as I'm concerned generally the R&D with this stuff is almost non existent- put it together, sell huge quantities, discover the flaws and release version 2, 2.5, 3....
