I am considering ordering some. Can anyone tell me how long they last before they have to be thrown away? Also, does anyone know how they compare to smok Tech Mega Dual Coil 1.5 ohm cartomizers? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The mdcc's are the best filler carto IMHO -but I could always taste the filler and after a few fills the flavor seems to be muted. I have read they can be cleaned but I just don't have time to do all that and really just want a hassle free good vape.
The stardust are great but nothing is perfect-i have had a few issues with cracking around the base and have been really careful to use the metal band at the bottom to screw them onto the battery. After several fills flavor and vapor seem to diminish somewhat but once they are cleaned it comes right back. I think some of the juices I use are thicker and may gunk up the coil. I have noticed the lighter colored juices seem to turn dark and someone said this is probably a result of carmelization occurring on the wicks which makes sense. By far the best flavor I have had from any carto.
So far have only had to throw out one because of cracking and leaking (there is a thread on this forum that details which juices cause tank deterioration) not juice related but tiny stress fractures around the bottom that get progressively worse. I threw out another because I think I overdid the dry burn after cleaning (my fault) other than that when these things work optimally they are the best vape I've had so far. I have a few that I've been using for about 5-6 weeks
Filling and cleaning are a breeze and no worries of inhaling burnt polyfill-I don't take them apart-just fill with warm water and shake until wicks look clean then let dry and dry burn to clean the coil-I think next time I will pull the silicone cap off the post to dry burn since I think I toasted the last one. I don't like to tinker at all and these have been working pretty well for me-All in all I would say they are definitely worth a try!
Hope this helps.

I ended up ordering one of each color, how can a person decide....it's kind of like shoes, ya know. My Stardust are on thier journey here... now wich color to put which liquid in.

Question: I got the Flux gummy bears and swedish fish and they are about done steeping....do either of these juice mess with tanks or the Stardust???

I have been vaping the heck out of 3 of the new Ego Visions / Stardusts for the past two weeks, a heavy vapor, and I carry around 3 cigs and switch around between the 3. But so far, haven't cleaned a thing, they still behave like they did on day one.

But I now desperately need to clean them - liked the prior message, but note that the writer says it would be smarter to remove the top white piece before dry burning after cleaning. That is why I was afraid to clean mine, not knowing how to deal with the top white part (I am not a modding type, other than having a box mod, I am using KGO batteries with the new LR Ego Visions.)

Can anyone try to clarify the part about taking out the white part thing? Can you just get in there with tweezers and pull it out, on the new type with the raised tube in the middle? Any help would be much appreciated! These guys have been going strong, but I think a cleaning would revive them for another couple of weeks.

I have some needle nosed tweezers that are just pointed. They don't have the flat end with a slant that many do. PL3000.jpg

I got them in a regular little nail care set at the Dollar General for like 2 bucks. They slipped in the little cone head part fine. I pulled it out and the silicone came with it. Getting it back in was tricky because the silicone is a bit wider than the space allowed when you're trying to push it back through the opening. So, I had the tips of the tweezers in the cone trying to push it back in with the silicone around it. I didn't want to lose the cone in the stardust itself LOL. I finally got it in there enough to let the cone go and push the silicone into place. Not a simple task but it could have been much worse.

So far Stardust is been my favorite carto of all I have tried. It's easy to fill, don't leak at all, I don't have to worry about it tilting to the side and spilling out, great vape and flavor all around for me.

I do however have a problem with my last (2nd) order that was "improved" with a metal cone inside. I ordered 5 and all 5 have burned taste that comes and goes no matter at what angle I hold it. And I don't have that problem with the first version which I still have and use.

I want to order more, but I'm hesitant that I will have same issues with burning taste in it too

So I guess my question is if those also have same exact cone thingy?

I've got some of the new stardusts with the long CE2 style wicks coming. So I guess they are V3?!
Hopefully they are improved wicking.

its a option, they can make it with long wicks for those who ask but i find it can impede wicking with certain juices, ours will stay with short wicks, if people want some with longer wick ill get them but these where designed in the first place to use shorts wicks for a reason and since these arent ce2's with wider slits longer wicks wont suck up all types of juice., I find it highly unlikely that people vape verticly 100% without ever titling the mod in any way, that would actually be uncomfortable.

but the people have a choice and if they want them we will get them with longer wicks but be aware they where designed with short wicks for a reason and the tube being larger inside spreads the juice more then a normal ce2. shorter wick helps with more types of juices wicking better.

Thanks for the tweezer tips in answer to my quest to pull out the metal pips in the new Ego Vision/stardutsts. I did buy one of those really plain tweezers, but can't find it. I will try to find those longer ones with the curved tips. I did it with the tweezer types I find in most drugstores, that almost look like mini-scissors with the two small circles for the fingers. It was kind of tough on some of them, but did work. On the ones that did not want to come out, I did a fast 'jiggle' motion while pulling up. It seemed easier to remove when I first rinsed and shook them with water. Now what would be great are the simple 'pincher' type of tweezers, with rubber on the inside if the pinchers to grab the metal better.

To the person who said they had a burnt taste on the newer Ego Visions/Stardusts with the metal pips, all I can say is that having heavily vaped about 5 of the new type over the past month, that only happened to me twice -- both were times when the juice got much lower than I usually let it go. Both times, I stopped and filled it up, and the burnt taste was immediately gone and did not return. I do vape them almost horizontally most of the time, and always lay them flat when I am not vaping. I absolutely love them, would never consider returning to any polyfill cartos. I do think that any of the color ones being sold at various places are for sure the ones with the new metal pips.

I just survived cleaning and dry burning 5 of them today for the first time, the two I tried tonight work like new. I think it is safe to say that with proper care a heavy vaper could easily get by on one of these a month even if they never do anything fancy to them other than clean and dry burn once a week.

Someone in this thread mentioned pushing the pip down into the rubber, and sure enough I did that, the first time I tried dry burning cleaned ones. I thought well, that's the end of that vision. But then I used a broken off toothpick to make one end blunt instead of sharp, pushing down on the white rubber around the pip, and got enough pip up to grab it to pull it back up.

Oh, wow, woosh, kaboom...

Got my shipment of colored Visions - they look wonderful. The first one I tried (mind you, I didn't have to, I still have five older Stardusts going, but they need a good cleaning, so I figured I'd try the green one, my fav. color) is soooo tight, and gives slightly burnt taste once in a while. No biggie. Considering how it's my 10th, and none of them have died yet (and two are from the very first day of the first batch of Stardusts), I'm not complaining - it's one of those odd critters out, so to speak. I can use it anyways, just a bit more carefully.

So I filled up a purple one (my also favorite color) with a Chai juice I haven't used in, like, six months. Last time I used it was in a Vision Reg., and I liked it a lot then. Well, this Stardust works quite well. Rather *too* well. Visions were/are a tad mellow in the taste department. Stardusts - definitely not. The Chai *really* cleaned my sinuses. Spiceeeeeee...

I promised myself I'll use up the juice in the other five ones I have working right now before I fill up any more. Good grief, I can't get enough of these things...

The best tweezers I found for the job are the ones jewelry wire-wrappers use for making wire loops. The small double-sided ones. Basically the pinchers are straight, round and taper to a very fine point. They are not slick, and you can pinch hard enough so the metal nipple doesn't slip, you can grab it securely. Very easy to pull out. They sell them at all craft stores.
