I saw that post, and thanks for it - none of my dozen or so have the problem, but now I know to look out for it, so 'ta. Could you explain the "flat spot sanding", please? I can't picture what you're doing, where. I remove the cup seals from mine and so it's the one drawback they have for me - not so portable. If only there was a way to combine the vaping experience of the visions with the perfect portability of the Sapphires! (I have seen an interesting looking mod on YouTube that cuts the tube down and alters the mouthpiece to use as a combination mouthpiece and cup seal, but haven't tried it yet).

ummm try this - take a large nail file and hold the cup seal against it so the 2 edges of the half round cutout (the fill hole) are even against it and then sand it so its flat instead of a cutout. it will look just like the seal in a micro stretch. i'll try to get some pics soon ...

I'm just now experimenting with Visions...mostly using Fluxos, but as I learn more, they are performing better. The only thing I do is the 'V' notch for the wicks, and cut out the inner ring that fits inside the cup with an exacto. I'm running 60/40, and was getting burnt taste/dry hits until I did this. Post surgery (1 week heavy vaping) absolutely ZERO dry hits and/or burnt taste. Did the same to a new Regular, and no problems with it, either.

Thanks for the reply harmonic, think I get it. I don't have any micro stretches, but it sounds like you're describing the difference between a regular and the ones in a fluxo conversion kit. (Which I only figured out after searching for and reading what I think is possibly every thread on visiions/CE2's/fluxo's.
which has left me a bit like this;

But found this image in one of them; Vision plug differences/sanding goal (by fringeofluancy)
and for anyone that isn't sure what the cup cutting reference is: cup seal trimming for a better draw (post #82 by zoiDman)
plus, in the interest of comprehensiveness, one by harmonic on the possible wick/coil issue

cheers!

I'd ask for this one explained too, jinko... I've seen it mentioned before, also.... but after 2hrs of searching for an image I KNEW I'd seen somewhere,
I think I'm afraid to....

thats it exactly. i sand them down so it looks like the micro seal on the right lol
sorry i wasn't more specific and the conversion kits were just extra micro stretch seals that's why they not fit so good on fluxos same difference
but it works very well for me hope it helps you too

i dont remember seeing a pic but this one is easy too. when you take the seal out turn it over and look inside. you will see what looks like a little tube sticking out in the center that goes inside the ceramic cup when it is assembled. take a tweezers or nail clippers and rip it all out so the inside is flat and just the part that goes outside the ceramic cup is left. then use as normal.
does that help?

Sure does, thank ye kindly! My newly shaved, sanded and trimmed vision came out with me tonight - great draw, no dry hits and NO LEAKS!
Previously it had been a trade off; take out the seal plug and there'd be no draw issues & filling was way easier, but then need to be kept upright, so I only used them at home.
It's great - no more trade off.

Thanks again for your replies. I know new stock's in now, but this'll help keep me for the three weeks post takes to get here.

Dear dannoman and badkolo, I know you guys are all busy and stuff right now, but can I add my vote to a modding sub-forum? There's so many tweaks and mod like bits and pieces to tweak stuff to our individual likes, styles, juices etc... and it'd be sooo much easier if it were all the stuff for each product was in one place! Or even if the various tweaks got compiled into one thread after a while... or something....

with great effort I've restrained myself from using another cutesy cat emoticon here; I'm just all happy and stuff at being able to use the 'puter again after months.
