Hey guys, i recently purchased a vision victory vt 1.8 ohm and i threw in some juice to try out the tank for the first time an i got this HORRIBLE burning chemically taste that made me cough and gag. I am ammusing that the atomizer blew? except this is a brand new tank? Im also using it on an eGo Twist.

Sounds like it just needs to be cleaned. There could be some sort of contaminants left over from manufacturing in it. If the coil pops, it just stops working. Bad taste either means you've got the voltage too high and are burning the liquid, or it's dirty.
Id bet that the liquid didnt effectively wick into the coils. Being a top coil design, you want to be sure that the coil is saturated before vaping.
Im using Bottom Coil design, like the Evod, and even with that, after I fill a fresh one, I let it stand up on my desk for a bit before I vape it. I also take a couple dry pulls through the mouthpiece to make sure the juice is in the wicks nice and proper. With a Top Coil design, where you lose the gravity fed aspect, you want to be even more sure.
ALSO, you should give the tank and the wicks a rinse before using them if they're brand new. I learned that the hard way on a brand new Evo.. REALLY wierd taste.
Course, the coil could have blown too. Only way to know it to check it.

Should come with extra wick setup. Try changing it out for another one. I would clean it first though.
