Hi guys,

I was going to post in this thread, but post restrictions on new members and all that...

I use a Vivi Nova V3 and a mini nova (not sure which version - eGo fitting with skirt). Both have the pointy caps on their heads and I've used the ones that came with the mini in the nova with no problems.

Looking for replacement heads I found this, which relates to the thread above that I can't post in! Have they got it wrong saying those heads aren't suitable for the mini nova (they are listing the square-capped heads for the mini)? Or are there different versions of the mini using different heads (as with the full nova)?

Cheers.

The "pointy" ones are not genuine Vision heads.

I went ballistic when I received them, since the vendor didn't specify they were clones. They credited my account and don't carry them anymore. They didn't want them back, so I tried them and it turns out that they work.

Looks like I'm using copies then! Doesn't bother me really as long as it works. From what I understand, almost everything in this business is a copy of something. The Vamo I'm using was a copy of a copy of a copy or something like that - it's hard to follow, especially when the non-originals become more prevalent and arguably better than the originals!

Does that mean that any head will fit any nova/mini nova?

I don't know what you mean by "any head," but vivi novas and vivi mini novas use the same heads.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I've seen different vendors state differences between nova heads and compatibility with different versions, some also refer to different wick lengths. The ones I have (pointed copies), have the same wick length and fit both the nova and mini I have.

I've never had anything but a Vision Vivi Nova, so I can't really speak to it. I will say that most of the folks I talk to that hate the Nova often as not it turns out they don't actually have a Nova, they have a clone. That said, just because you get a clone doesn't mean it's going to suck, and just because you get a genuine doesn't mean it's going to be great, but that's the way I'd bet if I was forced to bet. :)

Yeah, I'm with you there man. Had I noticed they weren't genuine I probably wouldn't have bought them, but I'm more than happy with them, just need some more heads before I start rebuilding them myself.

So, Totally Wicked are wrong when they sell the pointed ones as "V3" and say they are "not compatible with the Mini or STV Nova" and the flat ones as "not compatible with the V3"?

Neither state "Vision", so are both copies?

I'm glad you posted that link. The V3 those heads are for isn't a vivi nova at all. It's a rebuildable clearomizer. http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/replacement-coil-systems/replacement-coil-systems/the-rcs-v3-clearomizer-product.html

This is a vivi mini nova (they don't even bother calling it a vivi): http://www.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/products/replacement-coil-systems/replacement-coil-systems/the-rcs-mini-nova-kit-product.html

That said, the heads I received in error I believe were for a rebuildable clearo and they still worked on the vivi.
